After a long wait, Jurassic World: Dominion is finally headed our way. Today we’ve got the movie’s five-minute prologue that takes us back 65 million years.
As the video begins we see dinosaurs gathering around a body of water and going about their daily lives, then things flash forward 65 million years to the present day as a helicopter chases a T-Rex to a drive-in. As the classic song “Let’s Go Down to the Lobby” plays a kid looks up to see the massive dinosaur stomping through the crowd in his direction while all hell breaks loose, reminding us just how scary it would be if the creatures still walked the earth.
Colin Trevorrow, who was behind Jurassic World, directs from a script written by Emily Carmichael, based on a story by him and Derek Connolly.
One of the most exciting details of the movie is that Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, and BD Wong are all returning along with stars of the original trilogy, Sam Neill, Lauren Dern, and Jeff Goldblum. New cast members include Daniella Pineda, DeWanda Wise, Justice Smith, Omar Sy, and Scott Haze, among others. Oscar-winner Michael Giacchino, who composed for Jurassic World and Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, also returns to score for Jurassic World: Dominion.
Jurassic World: Dominion opens in theaters on June 10, 2022.
