Sony’s Marvel vampire movie, Morbius is finally heading our way after several delays. Today, we’ve got a new featurette to share with you that gives us a glimpse into the lore of Dr. Michael Morbius.
Played by Oscar® winner Jared Leto, Morbius is a scientist who, while trying to find a cure for a rare blood disease, accidentally transforms himself into a living vampire. “While at first, it seems to be a radical success, the darkness inside him is unleashed. Will good override evil – or will Morbius succumb to his mysterious new urges?”
Tyrese Gibson stars as FBI agent Simon Stroud; Jared Harris (“The Terror”) plays Morbius’ mentor; Matt Smith (“Doctor Who”) plays the film’s villain Loxias Crown; and Adria Arjona (Pacific Rim: Uprising) is Morbius’ love interest.
Daniel Espinosa (Life) directs from the script penned by Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless based on the Morbius character created by writer Roy Thomas which made its debut in Amazing Spider-Man #101.
Morbius sinks its fangs into theaters on April 1, 2022, from Sony Pictures.
