Highlights For All AMC Streaming Networks’ Upcoming Series And Films

This November, AMC Networks’ streaming services will feature a number of highly anticipated series debuts and sendoffs, including the series finale of the pop cultural phenomenon “The Walking Dead”, along with a simulcast of the series’ epic finale event in Los Angeles and supersized, live Talking Dead, on November 20 at 9pm ET. But that’s not all, the eagerly-awaited new season of AMC+ Original “Gangs of London” debus on November 17. Also, tune in for the season finale of critically acclaimed Anne Rice’s “Interview with the Vampire” on November 6; the two-episode debut of BBC America’s Mood on November 6; and the season finales of the popular IFC Original series, Documentary Now! and Sherman’s Showcase, on November 9 and November 23, respectively.

 

This month features new AMC+ exclusive film premieres rolling out every week, including French love triangle thriller starring Juliette Binoche, Both Sides of the Blade (November 4), sudsy comedy starring Rachel Bloom and Melissa Fumero, Bar Fight! (In theaters and on AMC+ November 11), Western murder mystery starring Gabriel Byrne and Thomas Jane, Murder at Yellowstone City (November 18), and Shudder Original film, Blood Relatives (November 22), from writer/director/star Noah Segan (Looper, Knives Out).

 

AMC+ brings viewers an extensive catalog of compelling dramas, fan-favorite franchises, highly anticipated films, and timely collections on AMC+, Acorn TV, ALLBLK, IFC Films Unlimited, Shudder and Sundance Now, and the newly acquired anime-focused HIDIVE, all month long.

  • Whitstable Pearl (Acorn TV Original)

Two Episode Premiere Monday, November 28; Weekly Through December 12

In Season One, Pearl Nolan (Kerry GodlimanAfter Life, Trigger Point) juggled her commitments to the seaside town restaurant — the eponymous Whitstable Pearl — with her “side hustle” as a PI. In Season Two, Pearl will prioritize her detective work and transition from being a chef who solves crimes to a full-time investigator who just happens to own a restaurant. Pearl’s cases overlap with DCI Mike McGuire’s (Howard CharlesShadow and Bone, Top Boy) police investigations. Their relationship is charged by a determination to outdo each other, and a fiery mutual attraction. When they compete, sparks fly and tempers flare. When they work together, they make a hell of a team.

  • Doc Martin (Acorn TV Exclusive)

New Episodes Premiere Every Monday Through November 28; Series Finale on December 29

In this long-running, wildly popular UK dramedy, Martin Clunes (Manhunt) stars as surly and self-centered yet beloved Dr. Martin Ellingham with a rude bedside manner and a phobia of blood. A year has passed since Martin resigned from his medical license, and his wife, Louisa (Caroline Catz), is now the one seeing patients as a child counselor, while he looks after their own two young children. But does the Doc truly never want to practice medicine again? Also returning for the final season: Dame Eileen Atkins as Doc Martin’s formidable Aunt Ruth, Ian McNeice as Bert Large, and Joe Absolom as Al Large. Coming up: A documentary on the series premieres December 26, and the series finale premieres December 29.

A sensuous, contemporary reinvention of Anne Rice’s revolutionary gothic novel, Anne Rice’s Interview with the Vampire follows Louis de Pointe du Lac (Jacob Anderson), Lestat de Lioncourt (Sam Reid), and Claudia’s (Bailey Bass) epic story of love, blood, and the perils of immortality, as told to journalist Daniel Molloy (Eric Bogosian). Chafing at the limitations of life as a black man in 1900s New Orleans, Louis finds it impossible to resist the rakish Lestat De Lioncourt’s offer of the ultimate escape: joining him as his vampire companion.  But Louis’s intoxicating new powers come with a violent price, and the introduction of Lestat’s newest fledgling, the child vampire Claudia, soon sets them on a decades-long path of revenge and atonement.

Mood is the highly anticipated first drama series from actor, writer, and singer-songwriter Nicôle Lecky, based on her critically acclaimed Royal Court play (Superhoe). In the six-part series, Sasha Clayton (Lecky) dreams of becoming a major recording artist, but right now she’s a bedroom artist: spending her days smoking weed and stalking her ex-boyfriend (Jordan Duvigneau, My Mum Tracy Beaker) on Instagram. When she is kicked out of her family home for drunkenly trying to burn her ex’s house down, Sasha becomes homeless and is forced to fend for herself, sofa-surfing with local drug dealer Saleem (Mohammad Dalmar). Everything seems to change when she meets and moves in with Instagram influencer and party girl Carly (Lara Peake, Brave New World), who introduces her to the exciting world of making money and becoming ‘famous’ on social media. But as the gap between her online presence and her dream of being a singer continues to grow, Sasha finds herself struggling to escape this new influencer world that is more complex and darker than she could have imagined.

The witty, irreverent and wholly original Sherman’s Showcase features sketches, dancers, fake commercials, movie trailers, cultural nostalgia, the funkmonster, A-list guest stars, and original songs (“Drop it Low for Jesus,” “Marina Del Ray”) that definitely climbed the fictional charts. Each episode of the series is hosted by Sherman McDaniels as he takes viewers through time, via music and comedy drawn from the 40-year library of a legendary (but fictional) musical variety show.

  • Himouto! Umaru-chan R
    English Dub Premiere: November 2022

    This comedic slice-of-life series was a hit with fans when it originally aired in 2017 and now they can enjoy Himouto! Umaru-chan R all over again in English dub exclusively available on HIDIVEUmaru has two faces: her “outside face” is a reserved beauty, renowned throughout the school and community for her flawless manners, talent, and intelligence. Her dreaded “inside face,” the face her responsible older brother Taihei deals with daily, is a lazy, game-playing, snack-binging brat. New Film Premieres Friday, November 4

The terrifying sequel to the Shudder Original Satan’s Slaves from acclaimed writer-director Joko Anwar (Impetigore). Satan’s Slaves: Communion follows a family living in a rundown apartment after escaping  terror from an evil cult and their undead mother, unaware that their new home is a bigger threat to their lives. Returning cast members to the franchise include Tara Basro, Bront Palarae, Endy Arfian, Nasar Anuz, Egi Fedly, and Ayu Laksmi. The film, which was the first Indonesian film shot with IMAX technology, will be available exclusively on Shudder in the U.S., Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand.

New Film Premieres Thursday, November 10

Mandrake follows probation officer Cathy Madden, who is given the task of rehabilitating notorious killer ‘Bloody’ Mary Laidlaw back into society after twenty years of jail. Cathy has always believed that every client deserves a shot at redemption, but her beliefs are firmly tested when two children disappear near Mary’s farm. Starring Deirdre Mullins, and Paul Kennedy, it is directed by Lynne Davison.

 

New Film Premieres Friday, November 13

The sleepy village of Pangnirtung wakes up to a typical summer day. No school, no cool boys (well… except one), and 24-hour sunlight.
