Earlier this week, we reported that “Supernatural” star Mark Sheppard had six major heart attacks and was brought back from the dead multiple times. He is now recovering, but he’s not the only thing being brought back to life. Jensen Ackles, who starred as Dean Winchester over the series’ fifteen seasons, and his show brother Jared Padalecki, who played Sam, have teased that the series may be brought back to life or that another spin-off may be in the works.
Sam and Dean reunited in the “Supernatural'” finale. But was it the end of the show? Cinemablend reports that the duo, along with many of their former co-stars, recently appeared at Creation Entertainment’s Road Ahead Supernatural-themed convention in Honolulu. During their Gold Panel, which you can watch on YouTube, one fan asked about Sam and Dean reuniting in Heaven and the possibility that their story might continue. While not giving away a lot, Ackles and Jared Padalecki shared their thoughts.
I have some ideas, and I hope that now that the writers are back, and the actors are back, that we all get together.
Stay tuned on that. There are some conversations regarding that conversation that are being had. Ackles added.
“Supernatural” may very well have the most dedicated and massive following of any series in history, with fans going so far as getting the protection symbol the brothers have tattooed on their bodies. That’s love and dedication right there!
Even though the two previous spin-offs, “The Winchesters” and “Wayward Sisters,” didn’t survive long, I have a feeling that if Dean and Sam returned, fans would love it. After all, they are the heart of the franchise. It’s just not the same without them. If the old band got back together, it could be a hit.
We’ll keep you posted as we learn more. In the meantime, let us know what you think. Should “Supernatural” be revived?
