From the creators of Barbarian comes Companion, a thrilling new film that blends horror and science fiction to create a fresh and brutal new love story unlike any other.

The movie’s trailer opens with a chilling confession from Sophie Thatcher (“Yellowjackets”), who plays Iris, an android designed to be the perfect girlfriend. Unfortunately, things go terribly wrong. “The two happiest moments of my life,” she states, “were when I met Josh and then when I killed him.” That’s one hell of a way to kick things off.

Companion follows Josh (Jack Quaid, “The Boys”). After he “jail-breaks” the settings of his AI girlfriend, he unleashes a terrifying chain of events. During a weekend getaway with friends, played by Lukas Gage, Megan Suri, Harvey Guillén, and Rupert Friend, the idyllic retreat descends into chaos as Iris’s programming spirals out of control.

Written and directed by Drew Hancock, Companion promises a wild, unpredictable ride filled with brutality and romance gone wrong. Hancock describes the movie is ” about self-discovery and, at its core, is a breakup movie about this woman finding empowerment through discovery of self.”

Companion opens in theaters on January 31st. Get your tickets now and prepare to be captivated by this chilling and unforgettable love story.
