The battle against the Arachnid hordes in Starship Troopers: Extermination is intensifying with the release of Update 1.4 and the upcoming Update 1.5. Here’s a breakdown of what troopers can expect:

Update 1.4 Highlights:

Fednet Heroism Feature: Capture heroic battlefield moments with equipped FedNet cameras to boost morale and XP.
Underbarrel Attachment for Morita MK1: Players who’ve mastered the Morita MK1 can now add an underbarrel attachment for increased tactical options.
Improved Bug Pathing: Arachnids will navigate the environment more effectively, reducing instances of getting stuck.
General Gameplay Enhancements: Quality-of-life improvements and balancing tweaks to refine the core gameplay experience.

Update 1.5 Key Features (Upcoming):

New Weapon—Morita MK2: A powerful new weapon, similar to those in the movies, will be added to the arsenal.
Galactic Front – Phase 1 Overhaul: Accessibility and usability improvements to Company Operations based on community feedback.
Eliminate the need to purchase for Company Ops: Company operations will be displayed as a rotating list linked to player progress.
New Quickplay Option for Company Ops: Faster matchmaking for Company Ops.
Dynamic Sky System Added to X-11: The battlefield will now have a new visual layer with evolving skies.
Hive Hunt Revamp (Starting in 1.5):

Based on player feedback, Hive Hunt is becoming a 16-player-only mode with significant changes to increase intensity and scale:

Players must now carry Nukes to each hive.
Squads must protect Nuke carriers.
Spawn tables are being updated to raise the challenge.

Inspired by the Starship Troopers movie, Starship Troopers: Extermination is an action-packed co-op FPS where players join the Deep Space Vanguard to fight relentless Arachnid hordes across hostile planets. Developed by Offworld, the game launched in Early Access on May 17, 2023, with its full release on October 11, 2024, for PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, and the Offworld shop, and for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
