If you’re still recovering from last week’s streaming debut of the body-horror comedy Slanted, grab your popcorn and lock your doors. Paramount+ is keeping the adrenaline spiked. Scream 7, the latest meta-slasher extravaganza in the iconic franchise, is now streaming in the US and Canada.

The film is directed by Kevin Williamson, the mastermind who wrote the original 1996 masterpiece. The screenplay is by Williamson and Guy Busick (story by James Vanderbilt and Guy Busick).

New Town, Same Bloody Problems

Just when Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell) thought it was safe to enjoy a quiet, trauma-free existence, a new Ghostface emerges to ruin the vibe. This time, the stakes are painfully personal: Sidney’s daughter (Isabel May) is the prime target. To save her family, the ultimate Final Girl has to confront her past and show this copycat killer how the pros handle business.

A Cast to Die For

The ensemble features a wildly stacked lineup of returning favorites, franchise legends, and fresh meat: franchise icons Neve Campbell and Courteney Cox are back. They are joined by Ghostface survivors Jasmin Savoy Brown and Mason Gooding. The sequel features new wild cards Isabel May, Anna Camp, David Arquette, Roger L. Jackson, Michelle Randolph, Jimmy Tatro, McKenna Grace, Asa Germann, Celeste O’Connor, Sam Rechner, Ethan Embry, Mark Consuelos, Tim Simons, Joel McHale, and… Matthew Lillard? (We’ll let you watch to see how that math works out).

Box Office Carnage

After slashing through theaters worldwide this past February via Paramount Pictures and Spyglass Media Group, Scream 7 didn’t just beat the competition—it completely butchered it. The film carved out over $214 million worldwide, officially making it the highest-grossing installment in the franchise’s 30-year history. Clearly, audiences still love a good jump scare.

The Credits Roll

Paramount Pictures and Spyglass Media Group Present a Project X Entertainment Production: Scream 7. Produced by William Sherak, James Vanderbilt, and Paul Neinstein. Executive producers include Kevin Williamson, Gary Barber, Chris Stone, Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox, Ben Ormand, Ben Fast, Cathy Konrad, Marianne Maddalena, Matt Bettinelli-Olpin, Tyler Gillett, and Chad Villella.

Your Ultimate Slasher Binge Starts Here

Consider Paramount+ your official horror headquarters. If you need a refresher on the rules of surviving a horror movie, you can stream the first six Scream films right now, alongside exclusive behind-the-scenes extras in The Scream Collection.

And if you’re still craving a thrill after the credits roll, the platform is packed with other heavy-hitters like Smile, A Quiet Place, Friday the 13th, and Paranormal Activity. What’s your favorite scary movie? Because it’s probably streaming right now.
