In a disappointing twist for pop music fans, Ariana Grande has officially dropped out of “American Horror Story” Season 13. Variety reports that the Grammy-winning superstar had to exit the FX anthology series due to unavoidable scheduling conflicts with her ongoing Eternal Sunshine world tour.
The news comes as a bitter pill, especially since Grande previously teased her involvement back in November. The gig would have marked her grand debut in the AHS universe, while serving as a delightful “Scream Queens” reunion alongside Murphy, Emma Roberts, and Billie Lourd.
The Coven Reassembles
While losing Grande hurts, FX isn’t exactly short on star power for the upcoming milestone season. The network recently dropped a star-studded list for Season 13. They confirmed an absolute powerhouse reunion of the franchise’s most legendary, heavy-hitting alums. Returning icons include Jessica Lange, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, and Angela Bassett. Also returning are fan favorites Kathy Bates, Emma Roberts, Billie Lourd, Gabourey Sidibe, and Leslie Grossman. The massive ensemble will also feature cult filmmaking legend John Waters, alongside Paul Anthony Kelly and Joey Pollari.
Release Date & Vaulted Secrets
As is tradition with a Ryan Murphy production, specific plot details and character arcs are being kept under lock and key. However, fans won’t have to wait too much longer to find out what kind of twisted nightmare is in store.
“American Horror Story“ Season 13 is officially scheduled to premiere on September 24, 2026, on FX. Even without Ariana Grande on the marquee, a cast list stacked with Lange, Paulson, and Peters means the franchise is gearing up for an essential, old-school return to form.
