A Price Must Be Paid In The Irish Horror ‘Unwelcome,’ Coming To Shudder

The Irish horror Unwelcome from Grabbers and Robot Overlords director Jon Wright is coming to Shudder this June.

In Unwelcome, married couple Maya and Jamie escape their urban nightmare to the tranquility of rural Ireland only to discover malevolent and murderous goblins lurking in the gnarled, ancient wood at the foot of their new garden. As warned by their new neighbors, in Irish mythology, the Redcaps will come when called to help souls in dire need of rescue, but it’s crucial to remember that there is always a dear price to pay for their aid.

Hannah John-Kamen (Red Sonja, Ready Player One) stars alongside Douglas Booth (That Dirty Black Bag, The Dirt) and Colm Meaney (Gangs of London, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine), Jamie-Lee O’Donnell (6 Degrees, Derry Girls), Chris Walley (Bloodlands, The Young Offenders) and Kristian Nairn (Game of Thrones).

Unwelcome, from Warner Bros., makes its debut on June 23, 2023, on both Shudder and AMC+.
