Fans of Stephen King’s iconic horror novel It were treated to a chilling surprise during the House of the Dragon season finale. A brief, bone-chilling teaser for the upcoming prequel series, “Welcome to Derry,” was unveiled. The video quickly made it to social media, offering a terrifying first look at the horrors to come.
The teaser, while short, effectively sets the tone for the series. First, we see a shot of the iconic “Welcome to Derry, Maine: Birthplace of Paul Bunyan” sign. Disturbing images of terrified individuals covered in blood and a mysterious, goo-like substance follow. The teaser culminates with a shot of a child with an unsettling smile that will haunt viewers’ dreams.
Directed by Andy Muschietti, who helmed the It films, “Welcome to Derry“ will delve into the fictional town’s dark history and the origins of Pennywise the Clown, played by Bill Skarsgård.
Recently, we reported that the series had added ten new cast members, including Alixandra Fuchs, Kimberly Guerrero, Dorian Grey, Thomas Mitchell, BJ Harrison, Peter Outerbridge, and Shane Marriott. Chad Rook, Joshua Odjick, and Morningstar Angeline have also joined. They will star alongside Taylour Paige, Jovan Adepo, Chris Chalk, James Remar, Madeleine Stowe, and Stephen Rider.
