While your local abandoned big-box store is still being cleared of lingering hardware supplies, the Spirit Halloween Flagship Store in Egg Harbor Township, NJ, has officially announced its grand opening for Saturday, August 1, 2026. Yes, August. Because waiting until October to plan your horror-filled autumn is for amateurs.
Here is everything you need to know about the ultimate, live, free-to-attend kick-off to the spooky season—including how to get inside without causing a real-life horror scene.
🎟️ Secure Your Spot (Before It Vanishes)
You can technically show up without a ticket, but if you want to skip the massive regular line, you need to register early.
-The Cap: Registration slams shut after 2,000 tickets are claimed.
-The Limit: You can grab up to 5 tickets per registration (including yourself).
-The Fine Print: One registration per human. Duplicate entries with the same or different email addresses will instantly vaporize all of your submissions. No exceptions.
-The Payoff: If you successfully snag a ticket, you’ll get an Eventbrite confirmation email. Then, between July 10 and July 13, you’ll receive your official line group assignment.
⏰ The Dead-lines: Event Schedule
The Spirit Halloween event can’t be stopped! Rain or shine, it’s happening! And it’s featuring games, freebies, and local food vendors. Just keep an eye on the clock so you don’t miss your entry window.

⚠️ A Note on Etiquette: Line-holding is strictly forbidden. For General Admission, your entire party must be physically standing in line together to get a lanyard.
🛍️ Swag Bags & Store Entry
Your lanyard number is your golden ticket. The lower the number, the faster you get inside to empty your wallet. If you don’t have a lanyard, you’re welcome to enter on a first-come, first-served basis once all lanyard holders are safely inside. The store stays open until 8:00 PM.

🚫 The Rules of the Haunt
-NO CAMPING: Despite the legendary dedication of Halloween fans, camping or overnight parking at Harbor Square is strictly prohibited. Do not try to sneak an RV, van, or tent onto the property or the adjacent bike path. Local police and security will be patrolling, and early birds will be politely asked to wait elsewhere until 7:00 AM.
-Weather Conditions: The actual store is indoors, but the pre-party is outside. There is a comfort tent, but no indoor waiting areas. Dress for summer heat, wear sunscreen, and bring a refillable water bottle for the hydration stations.
