The horror celebration has officially arrived, courtesy of our friends at Blood Moon Pictures. Legendary Final Destination creator Jeffrey Reddick has teamed up with directing duo P.J. Starks and Eric Huskisson (13 Slays Till X-Mas) to bring genre fans New Fears Eve, a retro-inspired slasher designed to kick off the new year with maximum carnage. Following its exclusive digital debut on Screambox, fans won’t have to wait long to add the bloodbath to their shelves. The film officially hits Blu-ray on September 18.
Surgeon of Death Crashes the Office Party
The narrative kicks off when three reluctant co-workers are stuck hosting their company’s annual New Year’s Eve celebration. However, the festive gathering quickly devolves into a grueling fight for survival when an unexpected guest crashes the festivities. He’s an unhinged, masked serial killer known only as “The Doctor.” Armed with surgical precision, the killer sets out to systematically dismantle the guest list.
An Indie Ensemble Packed with Genre Icons
The indie horror effort boasts an impressive ensemble cast that blends beloved cult icons with fresh genre talent. Screen favorite Felissa Rose (Sleepaway Camp) stars alongside Dave Sheridan (Scary Movie) and Hannah Fierman (V/H/S). The survivor roster also includes Lily Claire Harvey, who joined us for an interview (below), along with Jay Woolston, Alyssa Rhoads, Roni Jonah, Turner Vaughn, and Jesse MacDonald.
Practical Gore Meets Unapologetic Dark Comedy
Directing duo Starks and Huskisson crafted the feature as an absolute love letter to 1980s slasher classics. Its creators describe it as a wild crossover between Office Space, Scream, and Office Christmas Party, and the film balances laugh-out-loud workplace humor with over forty elaborate practical kills. Handled by special effects artist Stephen J. Hodke of Taintbad Productions alongside Isa Suzanne and Blaze Bolden, the in-camera gore effects ensure that hard-core splatter fans have plenty to celebrate.
