Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse will be coming to DVD on December 8th, just 39 days after it’s theatrical premiere.
Christopher Landon, who also directed ‘Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones’, is behind the film about three Scouts who join forces with a bad-ass waitress to survive when their town is swarmed by zombies. Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse stars Patrick Shchwarzenegger, Tye Sheridan, Halston Sage, David Koechner and Jesica Ahlberg, among others. Human zombies aren’t the only things the cast will have to face. They also have to dodge, a horde of crazy zombie kitties who want to make a meal out of the group.
Scouts Guide is just one of several new films that will be part of Paramount’s experiment that will test if the normal 90-day period studios wait to release films on DVD is really the right way to go. Either way, fans are grateful for the early releases.
