Rob Zombie’s 31 will soon be released. The Rocker/writer/directer has just released the first clip from the film, which you can watch below. 31 follows a group of five carnival workers, kidnapped just before Halloween. The group is held in a compound known as “Murder World”. If they can survive for twelve hours against a group of psychos dressed as twisted clowns, they will be set free.
The film’s incredible cast includes Sheri Moon Zombie, Meg Foster, Jeff Daniel Phillips, Tracy Walter, Poncho Moler, Jane Carr, Lew Temple, Ginger Lynn, Daniel Roebauck, E.G. Daily, David Ury, Lawrence Hilton-Jacobs, Judy Geeson, Torsten Voges, Bari Suzuki, Richard Brake, Devin Sidell and Malcolm McDowell.
After an uphill battle, Zombie finally got the rating dropped from NC-17 to an R-rating, meaning that it could now be shown in theaters. The issue was graphic violence, gore, sexual content, drug use and and extensive course language. After all, it is a Rob Zombie film. 31 will be out on VOD on September 21st followed by its limited theatrical release on October 21st from Saban Films, just in time for Halloween.
The new clip from Rob Zombie’s 31 reveals the film’s 5 “contestants”. Malcolm McDowell’s character “Father Murder” is giving them the instructions for the “game” and tells them that “War is Hell”.
