Blumhouse, behind films like Get Out and Split, presents Happy Death Day from director Christopher Landon. The trailer is here and it has a serious Groundhog Day feel, but with a lot more death.
Starring Jessica Rothe, Israel Broussard, Ruby Modine, Rachel Matthews, Jason Bayle, and Charles Aitken, the film was co-written by Landon and Scott Lobdell.
In the film, a college student (Rothe) relives the day of her murder with both its unexceptional details and terrifying end until she can discover her masked killer’s identity.
It’s only fitting that Happy Death Day is set to be released on Friday the 13th this October from Blumhouse and Universal Pictures.
