Joe Hill‘s graphic novel Locke and Key has been picked up by Netflix. The new series adaptation from the son of Stephen King will be developed by the streaming giant after the pilot was failed to be ordered to series by Hulu.
Featuring a new script, cast, and director, the series will be developed by Hill and showrunner Carlton Cuse. Andy Muschietti, who directed the pilot for Hulu will be an executive producer for the new series, THR reports.
The series centers on “three siblings who, after the gruesome murder of their father move to their ancestral home in Maine only to find the house has magical keys that give them an array of powers. Little do they know, a devious demon also wants the keys and will stop at nothing to attain them.”
