Variety reports that “Silicon Valley” actor Thomas Middleditch is the latest actor to join the cast of the long-awaited Zombieland sequel and will star alongside returning actors Woody Harrelson, Jesse Eisenberg, Emma Stone, and Abigail Breslin. Zoey Deutch and Rosario Dawson have also joined the cast.
In Zombieland 2, the zombie slayers must face off against new types of zombies that have evolved since the first movie. They will also have to deal with new survivors along the way.
Zombieland director Ruben Fleisher returns to the director’s chair for the sequel. Writers Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese are also back for the horror-comedy that has already begun filming in Georgia.
Zombieland 2 is set to be released this October on the 10th anniversary of the first film.
