In an explosive Midwestern Gothic tale spanning two decades, sinister characters converge around young Arvin Russell as he fights the evil forces that threaten him and everything he loves. From writer-director Antonio Campos and co-writer Paulo Campos comes The Devil All the Time, based on Donald Ray Pollock’s award-winning novel.
The highly anticipated dark thriller is set in Knockemstiff, Ohio and its neighboring backwoods, where sinister characters – an unholy preacher (Robert Pattinson), twisted couple (Jason Clarke and Riley Keough), and a crooked sheriff (Sebastian Stan) – converge around young Arvin Russell (Tom Holland) as he fights the evil forces that threaten him and his family. Spanning the time between World War II and the Vietnam war, director Antonio Campos‘ The Devil All the Time renders a seductive and horrific landscape that pits the just against the corrupted.
The all-star cast also includes Bill Skarsgård, Mia Wasikowska, Harry Melling, Haley Bennett, Jason Collett, and Pokey LaFarge.
During our interview, actor Jason Collett described the film saying, “It’s kind of twisted. It’s dark. It’s gothic. You’re going to walk away from this film feeling a little uneasy.”
The Devil All the Time premieres on Netflix on September 16, 2020.
