The Sanderson sisters are back! The trio of witchy women will be returning for the upcoming sequel to Hocus Pocus! Last year Disney announced that the long-awaited sequel is indeed in the works and will cast a spell on Disney+ subscribers in 2022, ComicBook reports. On Disney’s National Streaming Day the company confirmed that the movie is still on its way and that the original actresses from the 1993 hit movie will be returning, including Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najimy!
Disney also revealed that Anne Fletcher will be in the director’s chair for Hocus Pocus 2, taking the place of Adam Shankman who will now be serving as executive producer. Lynn Harris will produce with Ralph Winter, and David Kirscher executive producing.
Filming is set to begin this Fall.
