Bruce Campbell returned to his iconic role of Ash Williams, from the Evil Dead Franchise, for the first season of STARZ’s Ash vs Evil Dead last year. Fans were thrilled and the series a great success. We were all over-joyed to learn that the series had been renewed for season two.
Lee Majors and Ted Raimi, one of the series’ executive producers, have joined the cast for the upcoming season. Raimi, who will play Ash’s childhood friend, Chet, is no stranger to the Evil Dead franchise, he appeared in all three of the films. In fact, his brother Sam directed the Evil Dead trilogy. Raimi, a horror genre legend, has been involved with films such as The Grudge, Midnight Meat Train and in TV series such as Supernatural and Twin Peaks. Majors, who will co-star as Brock, Ash’s father, has appeared in series such as Dallas, The Game, Weeds, The Six Million Dollar Man and many more.
Season 2 will consist of ten one-hour episodes, premiering later this year. Ash will continue on his journey with side-kicks Pablo (Ray Santiago) and Kelly (Dana DeLorenzo).
A look at Ash and his crew:
Last we saw the gang they were fighting Ruby (Lucy Lawless). She now has possession on the Necronomicon, the book that released the deadites and holds untold evil. The question is, what horrors will she unleash on the world in season 2?
