A Nightmarish Dream Come True: Review Of ‘Call Of Cthulhu: The Official Video Game’

It’s no secret, I’ve been waiting to wrap my tentacles around Cyanide Studio & Focus Home Interactive’s game “The Call of Cthulhu: The Official Video Game”, I’ve waited patiently for the game’s release but the good folks at Focus Home Interactive gave me a copy, and all I can say about this game is wow! First, let’s get the basics of the story out of the way. You play as a private detective named Edward Pierce from Boston. Pierce is tormented by constant nightmares that may be a result of the action he’s seen in the First World War, his lighter hints of his trauma with the engraving “Lost Battalion 10-7-18” implying Pierce is one of the 194 survivors from one of the most intense battles in WW1. Self-medicating with bootleg hooch and sleeping pills, Pierce is approached by a wealthy industrialist to investigate the death of his daughter and famous painter Sara Hawkins. Middle School Girls Plotted Bloody Massacre

Two Floridian girls were arrested by authorities at their middle school in central Florida. The girls’ ages 12 and 11 are self-proclaimed Satanists who planned to murder their classmates in order to “sin” enough to go to hell. The girls planned on killing and dismembering 15-25 students, drink their blood and possibly eat their flesh. The girls planned to hide in one of the restrooms of the school to ambush younger classmates they believe they could overpower. A tip to faculty resulted in the police arriving and finding the girls in the restroom. Upon searching the duo, police recovered three knives, a pair of scissors, and a pizza cutter. Authorities found text messages between the youths discussing their plans and even a handwritten note saying “go to kill in bathroom”. Happy Halloween Halloween 2018 arrived. I wrote a previous post almost a year before its release pondering what kind of movie it would be and most of all…was it even needed? Halloween is coming up fast and there’s a lot to do to get ready for it! Get candy, carve pumpkins, put up decorations, give stares of immense disdain to your neighbor who’s putting up Christmas lights, and of course, finding a good horror movie to watch! Real Nightmare Fuel Coming To Burger King

Burger King will be releasing a festive specialty burger on October 22nd appropriately called the “Nightmare King” made with a flame-broiled beef patty, crispy chicken fillet, bacon, mayo, and onions served on green buns. Last time Burger King had a Halloween themed burger it was the “HA1LOWEEN Whopper” where the buns were black because they were supposedly infused with “A1 Steak sauce” and caused people to run to the emergency room worried because, sorry to be blunt, the burgers turned their poop dark green. This time the burger was given its title of “Nightmare King” because the fast-food chain claims it was clinically proven to cause night terrors. A ten-night study was done at the Florida Sleep & Neuro Diagnostic Services in which 100 participants ate the burger before bed. Recently Chance6 Studios released their psychological horror game “COLINA: Legacy” on Steam. Ninja Theory Creates “Senua’s Scholarship” After Their Video Game Heroine

It’s no big secret; I love “Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice”, the dark fantasy video game by Ninja Theory struck a chord with many players as it deals with the sensitive subject of mental health, uniquely through the eyes of a young woman back in early human history during the time of Celts and Vikings. In order to make the symptoms of Senua’s psychosis authentic, Ninja Theory consulted with Mental Health experts as well as individuals who actually are going through treatment for the illness. Because of this delicate attention to detail, “Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice” to date has won 19 awards! Proceeds of the sale of the game went towards charities involving mental health but now Ninja Theory has taken it a step further, by creating a scholarship that will fund training for mental health tutors at the CPFT Recovery College East who played a big role in helping with research for the game, the scholarship is appropriately named “Senua’s Scholarship”.
