Future of ‘Telltale’s The Walking Dead’ Uncertain After Shakeup

Just like the sudden and dramatic exit of your favorite character on “The Walking Dead”, the same shocking end has come to the developers of “Telltale’s The Walking Dead” as of this afternoon around 90% of staff was laid off from Telltale Games, the developer of the hit TWD games, and “The Wolf Among Us”. Friday started with 250 employees and ended with 225 seeking employment elsewhere. Due to the sudden “Red Wedding” surprise has now put the remainder of TWD final season in jeopardy as episode 2 will be coming out in a couple of days. Among other projects that are now in limbo (in the gaming industry, it means Canceled) is “The Wolf Among Us 2” and a “Stranger Things” game. The story is currently developing.

Video Game Review Double Feature! ‘Layers Of Fear’ & ‘>Observer_’ For Xbox One

Recently I wrote an article about the bundling of the two horror narrative games, “Layers of Fear” and “>Observer_”. The games’ developer Bloober Team gave me access to play both of their groundbreaking games for one epic review! Since this is a double review, I’m splitting the games up to avoid confusion and the last couple of paragraphs will be my final thoughts on both games. “Layers of Fear” is about a painter in the midst of the mental breakdown and his obsession over his latest art piece that he hopes will put him back on top. After you start looking at your latest work, that’s when the terror starts. As you explore the house, hallucinations begin to take over of paint drenched hallways, malformed specters, and artifacts that reflect your troubled past as you try to explore for answers only have your senses toyed with by the other side. There are times you have to do some problem solving

‘Bendy And The Ink Machine’ Coming To Xbox One And PlayStation 4

You may have heard of him or at least have seen his cheery black and tan face in the toy aisle at stores, Bendy. Some know who he is and others may not but soon many more will get to know this little guy as he’s coming to Xbox One and PlayStation 4 this October! Don’t let his smiling mug and the whimsical title of his game, “Bendy and the Ink Machine” fool you, the Disneyesque façade of this story is pure horror survival! This first-person episodic game has players taking on the role of retired film animator Henry who has returned to his former employer’s studio. After arriving Henry soon realizes that something is wrong with the studio as there’s no one around, ink is splattered everywhere and the characters from the animated films the studio is famed for are alive, some of which are hell-bent on killing. The fifth and final chapter of “Bendy and the Ink Machine”

The Losers Club Will Perform The Ritual Of Chüd In ‘IT: Chapter 2’

Screenwriter Gary Dauberman has confirmed that the craziest part of Stephen King’s famed novel “IT” will be in the upcoming film, IT: Chapter 2 and NO it’s not the orgy scene! The famed “Ritual of Chüd” will be seen on screen for the first time. The ritual in question comes directly from the novel and is the true way to defeat the creature Pennywise. It’s a battle of wills where once started, those partaking in it are taken to another dimension. The ritual starts when one of the club members touches their tongue on top of Pennywise’s tongue, from there are bound when another member of the Losers club bites down on both tongues. From there another one of the Losers tells jokes and the first one to laugh is sent to the underworld. Since this will be in the film, it only means one thing; we may be able to now see Maturin, the famed giant galactic turtle who

Zombie Comedy ‘One Cut Of The Dead!’ Gnaws It’s Way To Vancouver Film Festival

From September 27th to October 12th the Vancouver International Film Festival will be showcasing works from filmmakers around the world. Most of the films this year are documentaries dealing with issues in the modern world, fictionalized dramas, and of course avant-garde. I’m not sure how most of you (the readers) would be into that stuff but one film submission from Japan seems like something you would like! “Kamera Wo Tomeruna! (One Cut of the Dead!)” The film is a Gonzo-style comedy film, the kind of which Japan is known for. Gonzo comedy is over the top, extreme, and sometimes just so strange where you can’t help but laugh at how unreasonable it is. “One Cut of the Dead!” follows a film crew filming a low-budget cheesy zombie flick in a remote area in the mountains. While filming the production and actors encounter a hoard of REAL zombies who start to attack and feed on the crew, the director instead of

Scene In ‘The Predator’ Edited Out Because Of A Real Predator

There’s a lot of action surrounding the film “The Predator” and the film is not in theatres yet! It’s been reported that a scene in the upcoming sci-fi horror was removed because one of the actors in the scene was a registered sex offender. Actress Olivia Munn found out that in the scene she was sharing screen-time with Steven Wilder Striegel who served 6 months in jail and is now a registered sex offender after in 2010 he attempted to lure a 14-year-old into a sexual relationship that he met on the internet. Director Shane Black is friends with Striegel and cast him in the bit role to help him out since he can’t find much work in Hollywood (I wonder why.), this was not the first film Black gave a handout to his friend, he gave him bit parts in “Iron Man 3” and “The Nice Guys”. What upset Munn was that Black kept Striegel’s past from the rest

A Noob Playing An ARPG: Review Of ‘Shadows: Awakening’ For Xbox One

Just recently Kalypso Media and Games Farm brought a new twist on the RPG gameplay to consoles in the form of “Shadows: Awakening”. I’ve played RPGs before but not your traditional ones, so I was pretty excited when I was given the chance to review this interactive artwork! As the title of this review states, I’m a noob (newbie) to this type of game but for my fellow RPG noobs out there, this is a great startup to the genre! “Shadows: Awakening” follows a Demon summoned by a mysterious mage to help combat a growing threat that’s about to be unleashed in the Heretic Kingdoms after members of the secret society Penta Nera were assassinated! The Demon can’t go on this quest alone and needs the help of “puppets”, People who were once alive and players can choose to come back from the dead to live again and aide the Demon. In the start you will be given the choice

Ghost To Honor Fallen Fan With Halloween Concert

On May 31st at the Riverside Theater in Milwaukee, a concert being performed by the Swedish metal band Ghost abruptly stopped after a fan collapsed in the audience, ending the show in order to allow medical aid to be administered to the fallen fan. Sadly, concertgoer Jeff Fortune passed away. A GoFundMe was set up to help raise money for Fortune’s family but an unlikely helping hand emerged from the aether, Cardinal Copia (Tobias Forge) himself. Ghost wanted to not only give back to their fans from the sold-out night that did not get a chance to see the show end but to finish the show for Fortune. To have a show finished by your favorite band in your name is not only awesome but an honor and in typical Ghost fashion, the show at Riverside Theater will be held Halloween night. Fans who were present at the May 31st show have till September 30th to RSVP this special event.
