New Thriller ‘State Of Mind’ Takes Players On A Low-Poly Visual Ride

Daedalic Entertainment’s sci-fi thriller “State Of Mind” launches today! The game takes place in the not so distant future (2048) where humanity is destroying itself more than ever. Climate change, social/political unrest, disease, and war are tearing the world apart but technology seems to be the only salvation to help humanity to escape. By escape, people voluntarily go to “City 5” a virtual world that’s a paradise where they can live peacefully while a humanoid robot takes that person’s place in the real world. With rising violence, the temptation to going to City 5 becoming greater, a terrorist organization called “Breakpoint” who oppose the concept of City 5 and the rise of technology that they feel are “numbing” the human race. Five playable characters are caught in the middle of the growing chaos, the main protagonist is a journalist named Richard Nolan whose wife and child are missing after he survived a bombing. ‘Elea’ A Surreal Sci-Fi Game Experience Coming This September (Trailer)

Prepare to visit space in a sci-fi adventure into the surreal in the episodic game, “Elea”. Bulgarian developer Kyodai and worldwide Publisher Sodesco, are taking players to the year 2073 where Earth was struck with a terrible childhood disease that’s threatening mankind. The game follows Elea, whose husband was part of an expedition to a planet that’s believed to be habitable and will save mankind. Naturally, the mission goes awry and communication is lost after his ship and crew are not heard from again after they approached the planet. Years later a distress signal is sent from the ship and Elea joins a recovery mission where she goes on a surreal journey through time and space as she looks for her husband. The game is in first-person and heavily story driven as it’s inspired by the literary works of sci-fi pioneers Stanislaw Lem, Arthur C. Clarke, and Frank Herbert. The game will be out September 6th for the Xbox One

New TellTale ‘The Walking Dead Final Season’ Launch Trailer Is Here!

The official launch trailer for Telltale Games “The Walking Dead Final Season” is here and it looks like it’s going to be a roller coaster for this closing chapter involving the human form of hope, Clementine. Clementine started off in the game series as a little girl forced to learn how to survive in the zombie apocalypse to now being a seasoned survivor taking on the role of caretaker of not only AJ, a little boy she took under her wing in the previous season, but a protector/leader of a community. The first episode of the new season launches today (August 14th) for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Fingers crossed that fans will have at least one happy ending to this gut-wrenching emotional punching bag of a tale.

“Handful” Of Staffers Leave ‘Talking Dead’

Not everyone was happy with Chris Hardwick’s return to AMC’s “Talking Dead“, a wrap-up show that comes on after “The Walking Dead“. Hardwick, also known as the “Nerdist” was suspended by AMC pending an investigation into allegations of sexual and emotional abuse brought on by Hardwick’s ex-girlfriend Chole Dykstra in June. AMC completed their investigation and allowed Hardwick to return to the show in which privately he apologized to staffers at a meeting. While some felt his emotional gesture was genuine, 25 staffers as well as an executive producer, left the show. during his suspension, current and former staffers described how difficult it was to work with Hardwick who they’ve said was prone to angry outbursts and loud altercations with others. Though AMC felt that Hardwick could return to host “Talking Dead” and stand by their decision, clearly 26 people felt differently in which AMC has declined to comment at this time.

The Meg Jumps The Shark Into Cynema

Summer is dying and Warner Brothers took a page from Universal Studios in 1983 and did a hit and run with a really bad shark movie. The Meg has more comparisons to “Jaws 3D” than it does with “Jaws” even though the filmmakers thought they were clever in their not so subtle “Jaws” references. “Jaws” All shark movies bow to the altar of “Jaws.” While Cynema is not about movie reviews, I propose that this film is important for one Cynematic reason: “The Meg” crosses us over into the big budget SyFy Channel movie and from the reaction of the audience I watched this film with, people just don’t get it. There is a Meg-sized difference between a bad movie and a “so bad it’s good” movie. It’s a wide area to cover but look at Joe Dante’s “Jaws” ripoff, “Piranha.” While indeed a clone, it was made with heart and creativity and fun. It was low budget zaniness…so much

Not A Downer! Review Of ‘We Happy Few’ For The Xbox One

It’s beginning to look a lot like “1984” in 1964 in Compulsion Games and Gearbox Publishing’s long-awaited stealth RPG, “We Happy Few”. The story follows three characters whose tails are interconnected as they all wish to leave England that’s become a dystopian nation after the Second World War. In this alternative universe, Germany invaded England but it’s hinted that they were eventually forced out. Since then citizens have forgotten the past by taking pills known simply as Joy. While on Joy characters will see the world as a colorful and pleasant place where your past is not even a memory at all, except when you become a Downer, a person who has not taken their Joy pills in some time allowing the effects to wear off. Once the effects wear off you see the world as it really is; falling apart, no food, disease, and strangely…childless. There are no children, which is the main point in the plot of the

See The World Differently In Upcoming Game ‘Another Sight’

Italian game developer Lunar Great Wall Studios will be taking gamers on a unique journey through London’s underground in their upcoming game, “Another Sight”. The game takes place in a steampunk-like world where the year is 1899. The story follows a teenage girl named Kit who while exploring an underground construction site lost her sight after the tunnel collapsed. In the darkness, she meets a mysterious talking cat named Hodge and the two begin to explore the mysterious world under London’s streets. Both Kit and Hodge have unique attributes that will help them solve puzzles, and exploring the fantasy world that seems to exist. Within this world, the two soon discover that they’re not alone as there’s a mysterious society made up of history’s great cultural icons like Claude Monet, Nikola Tesla and others whose encounters will change the landscape surrounding Kit and Hodge. “Another Sight” will be coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC in 2018.

Police Searching For ‘Suicide Challenge’ Creator

An online phenomenon is being blamed for the death of a 12-year-old Argentinean girl who died as a result of a “suicide challenge” that’s connected to a WhatsApp profile. The challenge is named after the profile it originates from, Momo. The Momo challenge appears to target youth in South America but cases have been reported in the US and Germany. Users who contact the profile will receive disturbing messages and commands from the user identifying them self as Momo, who orders them to perform tasks which usually results in self-harm. The user threatens it’s victims with violent images or videos as well as claiming there’s a curse if the victim fails to obey. Momo appears to target the young and impressionable causing authorities to ask for parents to monitor their children’s use of WhatsApp. What makes Momo terrifying is the image that’s being used for its profile picture. Most items you find on the shop range from 3D printed parts, jewelry, and pies with human faces… Yes, you’ve read that right. Ashley Newman’s shop, ItCameFromUnderMyBed, drew public attention recently for art pieces that are pies with faces on the top, obviously fake but done in such great detail that it would be perfect for Halloween parties.
