Kickstarter Coming For A Social Network Aimed At Gamers

Social media users utilize websites to stay in touch with friends, keep up with current trends, voice opinions, share laughs, and meet new people. Gamers are no different on these sites but they have to swim through a lot of other people’s nonsense to see what they’re more interested in. Well, if you’re a gamer who would rather talk gaming, get the latest news and reviews, guess what, there may be a new site just for you and others like you! A Kickstarter campaign will begin on November 30th for GameCritter, a new kind of social media site dedicated to all things gaming. The site will combine some of the best concepts from social media sites like Facebook, Twitter, Metacritic, Reddit and Quora in an all-in-one site. For gamers, the site will allow users to post statuses, community-driven reviews for games, and join in discussions by asking/answering questions. Oh Deer! Buck Carrying Severed Head Of Another Shot

WARNING: The following images may be disturbing to some It’s that time of year where many hunters enjoy the seasonal window to go out and hunt deer. As is the tradition with the hunting season comes to the stories about the ones that got away, past trophies, and seeing strange things while out in the woods. Bob Long of Kentucky, hands down, won with a super rare and disturbing kill this past week. Long bagged himself a buck, not just any buck, a two-headed one. Sounds like a freak of nature right? Well… turns out the second head, whose rack (antlers) was tangled in the rack of the shot buck and the second head does not “belong” to the animal! Yes, the decomposing head on the harvested male belonged to another buck! Documentary Film Review – Bloodlines:The Art and Life of Vincent Castiglia

John Borowski is well known for his documentary films, which give an in-depth look at various serial killers. Not only has Borowski focused on the likes of Carl Panzram, Albert Fish and H.H. Holmes, but has also done a documentary and subsequent TV series that explore the cultural obsession and influence of serial killers on society, aptly named Serial Killer Culture. This most recent documentary, which marks a bit of a departure from Borowski’s usual subject matter, deals with abuse, pain and anguish, all painted in a very different light. His subject this time is Vincent Castiglia, a well-known and renowned artist, whose preferred medium is human blood…primarily his own. So to say this man puts his life force into his work would be absolutely true. Slappy’s Back Again In The AR Game ‘Slappy’s Haunted Christmas’

Krikey has launched its second Augmented Reality mobile game of their three-part “Goosebumps 2” Slappy series; the first one was released in October. This time Slappy the ventriloquist dummy is back in a Christmas themed multiplayer AR game, “Slappy’s Haunted Christmas”. Players must open Christmas presents with a tap of the screen in order to find the Goosebumps manuscript before Slappy does. The presents are not as pleasant as they may seem as some contain jump scares! Each level is unique and the Goosebumps manuscript and jump scares are never in the same spot twice ensuring a unique play through each time. Douglas Rain Voice Of HAL 9000 Passes Away

Canadian stage and screen actor Douglas Rain who is known for his voiceover work has passed away Sunday evening of natural causes, he was 90. Douglas Rain studied theatre in both Canada and England resulting in him performing in a variety of stage shows (mainly Shakespearian) as well as appearing on numerous television shows and TV movie adaptations of stage productions. Douglas Rain is best known for his role of the self-aware shipboard A.I. HAL 9000 from “2001: A Space Odyssey” and reprised the role in the 1984 sequel “2010: The year we make Contact”. He’s also played the voice of an evil computer character in the sci-fi comedy “Sleeper”. His portrayal of HAL disturbed many as he does horrible things and says things that are troubling but as he does his voice is eerily calm.

‘Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina’ Hit With $150M Lawsuit

Netflix and Warner Brothers were hit with a $150 million dollar lawsuit over the appearance of the satanic deity Baphomet in their new series “Chilling Adventures of Sabrina” and the ones filing the lawsuit (might surprise you) are The Satanic Temple, not to be confused with The Church of Satan. The Satanic Temple is a progressive and more politically involved movement that was formed in 2012. The reason for the upset is the focus of the show takes place around a school called The Academy of Unseen Arts in which a statue of Baphomet is seen. The Satanic Temple claims the show not only infringed on the copyright of the image of the goat-headed deity but also defamed it and misled audiences to its origin. Awesome New Updates Coming To ‘Jurassic World: Evolution’

The park-building simulator “Jurassic World: Evolution” will be getting a massive update on November 20th. This addition to the game will include a new story mode called “Jurassic World Evolution: Secrets of Dr. Wu”, where Dr. Wu will call on your help with some new projects for him. If you accept his offer, a new island will be unlocked along with five new dinosaurs! Out of the five, two are regular dinosaurs, the Troodon, and Olorotitan. The other three dionos are hybrids of Wu’s creation, the Ankylodocus, Stegoceratops, and Spinoraptor. A Psychological Tightrope: Final Thoughts Of ‘The Call Of Cthulhu: The Official Video Game’

Since my review of “The Call of Cthulhu: The Official Video Game”, I’ve played the game twice and have enough to give my final thoughts. The following will contain spoilers as I explain the overall main plot as it may be confusing to those who have played the game and have questions, but at the end (My final thoughts) are spoiler free if you wish to skip down to that. SPOILERS AHEAD! Some of the information I’ll skip over as it’s been mentioned in my review. On the island of Darkwater, the locals are obsessed with a legendary story about the “Miraculous Catch”, the whaling community was starving as the whales seemed to have vanished from the waters surrounding the island in the 1840’s. 24 Hour Game-A-Thon For Charity This Weekend!

Video Games and Cons for charity? YES! The first ever Grubby Games Convention (GG Con) will be held at the South Dakota School of Mines & Technology this weekend (November 3-4) to raise money for Regional Health’s Children’s Miracle Network. The acronym for the con is quite fitting, in the gaming world (especially in multiplayer games) typing “GG” in the game’s chat or saying “GG” in voice chat means “Good Game” and is commonly said by all players to either show there are no hard feelings towards their opponents OR that they really enjoyed the game. The highlight of the event is the “League of Legends” state championship 24-hour game-a-thon being held in the Frasier Gymnasium in the King Center starting at 3 PM Saturday and ending at 3 PM Sunday.
