Buffalo 8 has now announced the North American VOD release of First Time Caller. A darkly comedic film directed by J.D. Brynn and Abe Goldfarb. Watch it on Cable and Digital VOD this January. First Time Caller is based on Gideon Media’s acclaimed podcast “The Earth Moves.” It explores themes of success, power, loneliness, and the apocalypse in a darkly humorous light. “Brent Ziff is an internet shock-jock at the top of his game. News from Netflix’s “Geek Week” continues to roll in. One of the announcements made was that the live-action series adaptation of the legendary supernatural manga “Yu Yu Hakusho” by Yoshihiro Togashi is set to premiere this December. The supernatural series centers on Yusuke Urameshi, who dies in an accident while trying to protect a young child. As he grapples with the fact that he is looking down on his dead body, a “guide to the spirit world” reveals to him the shocking truth: no one expected a delinquent like Yusuke to die performing an act of goodness, and there was no place for him in either heaven or hell. Yusuke is given a chance to return to the living, and after passing his trial, he becomes an Underworld Detective. Michael Fassbender reunites with fellow Snowpiercer star Tilda Swinton (Suspiria) in the film that also stars Charles Parnell, Arliss Howard, Kerry O’Malley, Sophie Charlotte, and Emilian Pernia. The Killer, described as a “brutal, bloody, and stylish noir,” centers on a solitary, cold, and ruthless killer who lurks in the shadows, awaiting his next victim. Thrilling Korean Series “Bargain” Now Streaming On Paramount+

The thrilling, action-packed Korean series “Bargain” is now streaming on Paramount+, marking the second K-series on the streaming service that is part of a partnership between Paramount and the Seoul-based CJ ENM. The series is an adaption of Lee Chung-hyun’s award-winning short film of the same name, which premiered in 2015. The new Stephen King adaptation of the vampire tale Salem’s Lot has been in limbo for the past few years, having wrapped production in 2021. It was set for a theatrical release in 2022, but it didn’t happen. It appears it is finally heading for release, but it may not be coming to theaters. According to Variety, it is heading straight to MAX. So, will we see Salem’s Lot premiere in theaters or on MAX? That still has not been confirmed. At this point, the real question is, will we ever see it? It was first set to be released in September of 2022. It was hit with its first delay and rescheduled for April of 2023 but was pulled from the schedule before it could debut. It doesn’t bode well for a film to be delayed this many times. When a movie is treated like this by the studio, it’s usually because they know it won’t be well received,
