‘Terrified’ Is Making Waves At Film Festivals

Making its way around film festival circuits is an Argentinean film that’s making a big impact, Aterrados (Terrified). The movie overall, is a mix of a cop drama and horror. Aterrados (Terrified) is about a cop who’s heading towards retirement and he’s also known for having a big interest in paranormal investigating and because of his interest, he’s called in to investigate a series of strange deaths. The deaths are occurring in houses doors down from one another. The cop meets a well known paranormal investigator who’s handling a missing person case in the same area. The pair, along with other paranormal investigators, team up as they soon learn that the cases are all linked.

TWD’s Pollyanna McIntosh Makes Directorial Debut With ‘Darlin”, Sequel To ‘The Woman’

Pollyanna McIntosh, who currently stars on “The Walking Dead” as Jadis, is making her directorial debut with Darlin’, the continuance of 2011’s cult hit The Woman. Lauryn Canny stars in the film which is set to head to market at Cannes. Darlin’, which MPI Media Group will introduce to buyers, continues the twisted vicious adventure of Lucky McKee’s 2011 cult hit The Woman, which he novelized with famed horror writer Jack Ketchum and which starred McIntosh in the title role. We’ve been waiting for a while to hear more about Oscar-nominated director Luca Guadagnino ‘s new version of Dario Argento’s Suspiria. VR Company Hidden Content Launches With Premiere Of ‘The Caretaker’ At Tribeca

Filmmakers Jacob Wasserman, Adam Donald, and Ant Gentile have announced the formation of Hidden Content, a full-service virtual reality company. Their first project was unveiled earlier this week at the Tribeca Film Festival with the world premiere of their narrative 360 Cinema project The Caretaker, the first installment of an original horror anthology series. Created by Wasserman and Donald as well as filmmaker Nicolas Pesce (The Eyes Of My Mother, Piercing), The Caretaker stars Adelaide Clemens, Tom Lipinski, Clara Wong, and Diana Agostini. The project was produced by Max Born and Schuyler Weiss and executive produced by Gentile and Kimberly Parker. The pilot was a co-production with RealMotion Inc. and audio services were provided by Hobo Audio. Go On A Real Bug Hunt With Your Friends In ‘Alien Descent’ VR Experience

Ever wanted to be a Colonial Marine from Aliens and go kick some Xenomorph ass (assuming they have one)? Well, FoxNet and Pure Imaginations Studios teamed up and now you and three other friends can team up and go on a free-roaming virtual bug hunt on a mining planted owned and operated by the nefarious Weyland-Yutani Corporation in Alien Descent. This is a first of its kind virtual reality experience, players can explore their surroundings wearing VR headsets without worrying about wires or PC backpacks. Each player is equipped with a personalized weapon with a motion tracker on their wrist. The event will start on April 26th at The Outlets at Orange, Orange County, California. ‘Hunting Lands’ Set To Screen At Newport Beach Film Festival

APS Films has announced the next screening of Zack Wilcox’s Hunting Lands at the 19th Annual Newport Beach Film Festival that runs from April 30, 2018, to May 3rd. Set and shot in the backdrop of a Midwestern winter, the film centers a group of young actors on a collision course with each other and destiny. Following the world premiere at this year’s Cinequest VR & Film Festival, Hunting Lands won Best Screenplay and Best Picture at Idyllwild International Festival of Cinema and screened at the Beverly Hills Film Festival. Award Winning Horror Film ‘What The Waters Left Behind’ Reveals Trailer

The award-winning horror film What the Waters Left Behind, from directors Luciano and Nicolás Onetti, has just released its trailer and it looks fantastic. What the Waters Left Behind “revolves around a group of young people that take a trip to the ruins in order to film a documentary about Epecuén. Ignoring the warnings, and after a brief tour, they get stranded in the abandoned village. Contrary to what they thought, they begin to realize that they are really not alone…” The film was inspired by the true story of Epecuén, one of the most important touristic villages of Argentina. Thousands of people concurred, attracted by the healing properties of its thermal waters. On November 10th 1985, a huge volume of water broke the protecting embankment and the village was submerged under ten meters of salt water. Epecuén disappeared.
