‘Annabelle: Creation’ Scores An Unbelievable Rating From Rotten Tomatoes

Back last year it was announced that a sequel was in the works for Annabelle, a spin-off of The Conjuring. Many found that the original Annabelle film fell flat, however it was no surprise when Annabelle 2: Creation was announced. Fans were questioning if the sequel, directed by David F. Sandberg (Lights Out), would be better than the first. Rotten Tomatoes, know for having often brutal reviews, has given us the answer of if the film is any good. The film scoring site has given Annabelle: Creation a score of 100 which is extremely rare. The Conjuring brought home a score of 86% and The Conjuring 2 got an 80% rating, making Annabelle: Creation the highest ranking film of the franchise. The franchise is continuing to expand on a massive scale with The Conjuring 3 and two spin-offs from The Conjuring 2 in the works, The Nun and The Crooked Man. At this rate, the franchise will soon be the

First Art For ‘George A. Romeo Presents: Road Of The Dead’

As far as zombies go, one man’s name is synonymous with the undead, George A. Romero. Referred to as the “Godfather of the Zombie Genre”, Romero brought the flesh-eating being into the mainstream back in 1968 with Night of the Living Dead. Now, his new film Road of the Dead is moving along. In fact, the first poster has just been revealed and it’s pretty bad ass. While Romero did not direct the film, that was done by Matt Birman (Warehouse 13), he did co-write the script with Birman and serves as producer. Road of the Dead has yet to begin filming and is still in search of funding, but hopefully after it is showcased at the Fantasia Film Festival later this month that won’t be an issue. Reportedly, the film is a combo of Mad Max meets Ben Hur and is set on an island where zombie prisoners race cars in an arena for the sole purpose of entertaining

‘Nightmare On Elm Street’ Reboot Still Alive

Back in 2015 we reported that a new Nightmare on Elm Street reboot was in the works. Last August we confirmed that David Leslie Johnson (Orphan, The Conjuring 2) will be penning the script. After that, very little was mentioned about the reboot, until now. When news came that Johnson will writing The Conjuring 3, fans and new sites took to IMDb to learn that Johnson is still attached to the film and that the plot had been “leaked”, or so they were supposed to believe. The reality is that anyone can edit IMDb. The plot is 100% fake, thankfully. It’s a terrible plot. One thing we do know is that sadly, it’s not likely that we will see Robert Englund reprise his role as Freddy. It just won’t be the same without Englund. The faux plot: “When Brandon Higgins begins to appear in other people’s dreams at will, he has no idea that he is the illegitimate son of

1999’s shark film Deep Blue Sea has always been one of my favorites, in fact it made on our 15 Great Films Set In Water list earlier this week. Back in 2009 we got our hopes up Warner Bros. announced that that a sequel was in the works, only to have it stall. With the recent success of films like The Shallows and 47 Meters down, shark movies are on the radar. Now, news has come that Deep Blue Sea 2 has swam into production and is currently filming in Cape Town. Darin Scott, behind films like Tales from the Hood, Menace to Society II, and From a Whisper to a Scream, will be in the director’s chair. Aquaman’s Michael Beach is set to co-star. With Principal Photography wrapped on new, experimental horror film Flesh of the Void, a first trailer has shown up online. From first time feature director James Quinn, Void is shot on a combination of expired Super 8 film stock and 16 MM in order to achieve an uncomfortable vibe (the trailer is certainly disturbing.)
