More Films For The Ghostbusters Franchise Are On The Way

After last year’s female-driven reboot of Ghostbusters failed to cover costs at the box office and left fans unhappy, we thought it would be awhile before we saw another sequel for the franchise. It turns out, we were only half right. In a recent interview with io9, Ivan Reitman, who directed the original and still co-owns Ghost Corps, acknowledged the 2016 reboot’s failures, but left with fans with hope. Not only will we be getting a 2019 or 2020 animated film, there are more live-action instalments on the way. We certainly would’ve loved to have a larger hit,” Reitman said. “But considering the last film was almost 30 years ago, it really did extremely well. I think the film cost too much, frankly, and that’s the real issue. I personally had other points of view in terms of where the film should go and it was kind of a continuous conversation with Paul [Feig] about that. But Paul was the

Dig These New Details From Tremors 6

One of my favorite things about the Tremors franchise is that the graboids are an ever evolving creatures. From the original Graboids to Shriekers all the way to Ass-blasters. Tremors 6 will be continuing that evolution. Director Don Michael Paul recently revealed a few hints on Facebook, including that fans might “get an icy glimpse of a Dirt Devil as you’ve never seen it before!!!!” We have also learned that the Graboids will be modified, but who is behind it? In Tremors 6, Burt Gummer (Michael Gross) and his son Travis Welker (Jamie Kennedy) find themselves up to their ears in Graboids and Ass-Blasters when they head to Canada to investigate a series of deadly giant-worm attacks. Arriving at a remote research facility in the arctic tundra, Burt begins to suspect that Graboids are secretly being weaponized, but before he can prove his theory, he is sidelined by Graboid venom. With just 48 hours to live, the only hope is

Original Director And Cast Returning For Zombieland 2

Fans have been begging for a sequel since the moment Zombieland premiered. It’s taken ten years, but it seems that the film may finally be on it’s way. So, I’m sure you are asking “Could it get any better?” Well, it gets better. Not only is the movie in the works, reportedly, Ruben Fleischer will be returning to direct (according to Bloody-Disgusting). As for the cast, it seems that Woody Harrelson, Jesse Eisenberg, Emma Stone, and Abigail Breslin will be returning as well. In a recent interview with ComicBook.com, writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick (Deadpool) gave an update on where the sequel stands. It is [in active development]. We’re trying to get it going. All of our cast have read the script and love it. Ruben [Fleischer] is signed on. It’s just a matter of making our cast deals and making it for a budget number. All the cast have become superstars now so, we made Zombieland with 20

‘Get Out’ Director Makes An Incredible Offer To African American Filmmakers

Jordan Peele’s Get Out is still killing it at the box office, bringing in over $113 million for a film whose budget was $5 million. Get Out is not only brilliant, it contains serious social commentary about the state of racism today. We reported earlier this month that Get Out is only the first of a series of genre films Peele has planned with each addressing a different “social demon”. During a recent interview with Digital Spy, Peele made an incredible offer to black filmmakers. For young black horror filmmakers, if you have a script, reach out and I’ll try to help it get made. MonkeyPaw Productions is my production company and we’re really trying to promote untapped voices in genre.” Films with African American writers, directors and protagonist are few and far between, but Peele is aiming to do something about that. It really is a shame we don’t have more diversity in the genre. There are many stories

Pennywise Stalks Georgie In The New Image From Stephen King’s ‘IT’

A new image has emerged from Andy Muschietti’s IT, written by Gary Dauberman. Just like the classic scene from the mini series we can see Pennywise (Bill Skarsgard) peering out from the gutter, calling to Georgie. The image, a photo of an IT spread in the latest Empire Magazine, was shared on the “Stephen King’s IT 2017” Facebook page. While the trailer has not been released online, it did play at SXSW. The trailer revealed the scene that opens with Bill (Jaeden Lieberher) making a paper boat for his younger brother Georgie, played by Jackson Robert Scott. Georgie runs outside with his boat to play in the rain. As the boat floats down the street beside the curb, Georgie falls and his boat is lost in the gutter. As he peers into the darkness in search of his boat, Pennywise suddenly appears and the screen goes to black. Hopefully, we will see the trailer released soon. Even though though IT’s
