Focus Home Interactive is having a massive sale on many of their games for a limited time, October 16th – October 22nd. You can save upwards to 80% on some titles, I highly recommend “Vampyr” as its 50% off for this limited time! For us Lovecraft fans, the highly anticipated role-playing horror game “Call of Cthulhu: The official Video Game” is available for pre-order but for a limited time the price is down 10%, which in hindsight is some decent wiggle room. Don’t worry, the sale is also on for PS4 fans as well. “Call of Cthulhu: The official Video Game” takes players on a journey into madness as they play as a private detective named Edward Pierce who is investigating the mysterious deaths of the members of the Hawkins family and discovers something otherworldly and darker is at play. The game will be out October 30th on all gaming platforms.

Recently Chance6 Studios released their psychological horror game “COLINA: Legacy” on Steam. The game follows a young man named Alex who woke up alone in his grandmother’s house and realizes that things are not right. The story calls back to survival horror games from the past and mixes it with escape room puzzles all the while facing the unknown. One thing can make or break a good movie or video game, the soundtrack. When you want the best for your music you go to the best to get it done, this is where Hexany Audio comes in. You may not know the name but you most likely heard their work. Hexany Audio has done sound design, music composition, and voice-over recordings for companies like Disney, Google, Apple, SONY, Nike, Ubisoft, and Activision just to name a few! I was honored to interview two of Hexany Audio’s composers who worked on “COLINA: Legacy”, Matthew Carl Earl, lead composer and co-owner of

It’s no big secret; I love “Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice”, the dark fantasy video game by Ninja Theory struck a chord with many players as it deals with the sensitive subject of mental health, uniquely through the eyes of a young woman back in early human history during the time of Celts and Vikings. In order to make the symptoms of Senua’s psychosis authentic, Ninja Theory consulted with Mental Health experts as well as individuals who actually are going through treatment for the illness. Because of this delicate attention to detail, “Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice” to date has won 19 awards! Proceeds of the sale of the game went towards charities involving mental health but now Ninja Theory has taken it a step further, by creating a scholarship that will fund training for mental health tutors at the CPFT Recovery College East who played a big role in helping with research for the game, the scholarship is appropriately named “Senua’s Scholarship”. I’ve wanted to review the new “Amnesia Collection” that’s out now on Xbox One, but I wanted to give the main game “Amnesia: The Dark Descent” a fair review since it’s been out for years and many opinions and reviews were already made about it, so here we go. You play as a man named Daniel, an explorer who awakens in a castle with no memory of how he got there but finds a trail of liquid that he follows and soon discovers clues to his past. He was cursed after an encounter with a mystical orb on an expedition. As the curse of a shadow haunts him he seeks help from a baron named Alex, who’s been experimenting with the orbs that have otherworldly powers that either allows those in control of it to travel different plains of existence or immortality. Through exploring the castle, Daniel learns what he and Alex have done in their quest to control the

There’s big changes’ coming for the video game featuring everyone’s favorite hockey mask wearing killer. Sadly before you get excited, sorry, there’s no new content coming out for “Friday the 13th: The Game”, see this previous article for details. Illfonic, the indie game developer that was partnered with Gun Media will be handing over the reins to Tokyo based indie game developer, Black Tower Studios. Black Tower Studios was formed in 2012 and have two RPG games under their belt with “Archangel” and “Magus“. The development team is made up of veterans of the gaming industry. Over the past year, Illfonic and Black Tower Studios have been working together leading up to the gradual transition. Both sides worked on creating the Pinehurst and Jarvis House maps/levels. Black Tower Studios main focus, once they are settled in, will be fixing bugs and glitches in the game along with other projects to help improve the player experience as well as maintenance of

Coming tomorrow (September 28th, 2018) Xbox One fans will be able to play the horror gaming experience, “Amnesia: The Dark Descent” as it arrives at the console but it’s not coming alone! “Amnesia Collection” will include all three titles from the series including the DLC story “Amnesia: Justine”, and the sequel “Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs”. The first person horror game takes players on a journey into madness as players must balance keeping the protagonist’s sanity level down while trying to explore their surroundings, having to rely on tinderboxes (matches) and lamp oil (for your trusty lamp) to light the way and help you feel safe. There’s a twist to the game’s arrival on XB1 as it will include a new difficulty mode for “Amnesia: The Dark Descent”, a hard mode. Normal gameplay is challenging enough but the developers are upping the ante. In hard mode: – Manual saves only, and saving costs four tinderboxes. – Oil and tinderboxes are

Rym Games is bringing a whole new level of terror to the Psychological Horror genre in gaming with “The Conjuring House” (no way related to the film series) that came out on September 25th. The developers wanted to take a different approach to tell the game’s story by not focusing so much on the violence and gore but having the players in a constant state of panic with the random unscripted encounters with the game’s antagonists. “The Conjuring House” will take players to a haunted house where from start to finish you’ll be in a constant state of panic as non-linear progression to the story will spell out unpredictable encounters with enemies while you look over your should constantly to avoid being discovered by the demonic entity of a woman with murderous intent! Players take on the role of the sole survivor of an investigative team sent to uncover what led to the death of the owner of the Atkinson
