‘The Conjuring 3’ Will Be A “Different Beast”

The Conjuring universe is quickly becoming one of the largest the horror franchises we’ve ever seen and there’s no sign of it slowing. The original James Wan-directed film gave way to one sequel already, plus the Annabelle trilogy, The Nun, The Curse of La Llorona, and now, The Conjuring 3. In The Conjuring 3, Ed and Lorraine Warren will return for a new scare. Patrick Wilson, who stars as Ed, shed some light on the sequel recently during an interview with The Hollywood Reporter. Travel Channel is set to launch a brand new spooky series, “Trending Fear” with Adam Ellis the author behind the viral tale #DearDavid that millions followed on social media. Paranormal Activty Seven Possesses A Release Date

Back in 2007, the Paranormal Activity franchise began with a bang, heavily influencing the found footage genre. Now, Paramount and Blumhouse have announced the 2021 release date for the seventh installment. It’s been 4 years since the last installment, Gregory Plotkin’s 2015 Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension starring Chris J. Murray, Brit Shaw, and Ivy George. The film followed a couple and their 7-year-old daughter as they get ready for Christmas in their new home. After finding an old camcorder, the father quickly learns that it can record strange apparitions that are invisible to the naked eye. When the daughter starts talking to an imaginary friend and displaying strange behavior, the couple finds themselves in a terrifying battle with a supernatural entity. Richard Stanley’s (Hardware, Dust Devil) is returning to the genre next year with SpectreVision’s Color Out of Space, starring Nicolas Cage. The adaptation of H.P. Blu-ray Review: The Ringu Collection (1998 – 2000)

1998’s Ringu is the fright flick phenom that started a J-horror wave that spread across continents, and today I’m going to be putting my putrid peepers on a whole mess of them preternatural pictures, so gather the fuck ’round! First up is the “original” Ringu (this is technically the third film adaptation of Kōji Suzuki’s 1991 novel), who’s plot goes a lil’ something like this: After a gaggle of teenage girls begin dying seemingly from extreme fright, investigative reporter Reiko Asakawa (Nanako Matsushima), an aunt of one of the victims, begins to believe the tales of a cursed video tape she has been researching may be involved. Discovering the girls rented a cabin before their demise, our heroine treks out there and actually finds the damn tape… which of course she watches, even though she knows the evil within will most likely come a-callin’ on her soon. November 8th we will be introduced to a new amazing series, “See” set in a dystopian future where the human race has lost the sense of sight and society has had to find new ways to interact, build, hunt and to survive. All of that is challenged when a set of twins are born with sight. Don’t get me started on the amazing cast that includes Jason Momoa and Alfie Woodard, as well as Bree Klauser who I had the pleasure of talking with about the series, her role, and more. Klauser plays the role of Matal, a member of Momoa’s tribe and an integral member of his council. Xaviant, the developer that brought you the battle royal game The Culling, will be bringing Halloween back into the Christmas season with their upcoming Rogue-like game Don’t Die Minerva!. This third-person game will take players into a haunted house full of evil spirits and monsters as 11-year-old Minerva. All she has with her as she’s inside the mansion is a flashlight and a backpack full of stuffed animals but thanks to the magic inside the mansion, her flashlight is a weapon and her stuffed animal’s fight by her side! This 3-D game has procedurally generated levels, meaning that no game is the same whenever you play.
