New Details Emerge From ‘The Mist’

On Friday, during the Television Critics Association Press Tour, new details emerged about Spike TV’s series adaption of ‘The Mist’. Don’t expect to see reboot of the film or a strict adaption of Stephen King’s novel though. The series will be a “reimagination” with a ‘Fagro’ feel. Per TV Guide, Christian Torpe, the show’s executive producer, went on to explain: “Internally, we talk about it as doing the ‘Fargo’ approach, where the movie and the TV show is the same, but it’s different. It’s like a weird, twisted cousin to the original source material. Fans of the movie and of the book and of Mr. King’s work will certainly see elements from it…We also, in order to develop it for TV and turn it into an ongoing series, took our own little detours here and there.” Frank Darabont’s 2007 film adaption of ‘The Mist’, starring Thomas Jane and ‘Walking Dead’ actresses Melissa McBride and Laurie Holden, was pretty good, even

American Horror Story Renewed For Multiple Seasons – First Cast Announced For Season 7

In 2016 we witnessed ‘American Horror story’ travel to Roanoke where the present met the past. It turns out, ‘American Horror story’ has a lot of future seasons ahead of it. FX announced today that the series has not only been renewed for season 7, but also renewed for seasons 8 and 9. That means that we will have the series around until at least 2019, if not longer. So far, we have moved into the ‘Murder House’, been institutionalized in the ‘Asylum’, cast spells with the ‘Coven’, visited the ‘Freak Show’, checked into the ‘Hotel’ and lastly, traveled to ‘Roanoke’ where a modern day couple saw the past come alive and the secret of the mysterious disappearance of Roanoke’s Lost Colony be uncovered. Where will season 7 take us? While the plot and setting for season 7 has not been revealed, there is a theory that it will take place at sea. What we do know is that both

Fox Mostly Likely Renewing ‘The X-Files’ With A Longer Season

Few television series have ever accomplished a group of fans as dedicated as the lovers of ‘The X-Files’. Last year, we got to see Mulder and Scully return for a limited series revival, but fans wanted more. It seems Fox is more than happy to make that happen. That’s right, it appears that we are going to see our favorite ‘X-Files’ detectives return, this time for more than just a couple of episodes. Entertainment Weekly has reported that during the Television Critics Association press tour, Fox president David Madden told reporters that the network is planning “to have an announcement very shortly” about the renewal of ‘The X-Files’. The only issue is scheduling around David Duchovney and Gillian Anderson’s prior commitments. He also stated that future seasons of the series will be longer than last year’s revival, but shorter than the series’ original 20 or more episode seasons. I want to believe that it will all come together. If it

More Hannibal? Don’t Hold Your Breath

More Hannibal? Who wants it? I know that I do. Yes, season 3 ended in a fairly satisfying way, but movieplot.com just released an interview with Hugh Dancy who plays Will Graham in the ground breaking series and basically, don’t get your hopes up for new episodes any time soon. “My feeling is that, knock on wood, if it came around again, it wouldn’t be a bad thing for it to be four or five years later. That might actually be kind of interesting. How weird would that be, on a personal level, to find yourself back with those people? ‘So… where did we leave off?’” So, if Dancy gets his way, we can look forward to new episodes in about 2020…not the news I was hoping for. The reason for the hiatus, according to Dancy, is that creator Bryan Fuller wants to avoid delving in to Silence of the Lamb’s territory. Fuller, had initially intended for the show cycle
