Friday The 13th’s Derek Mears Cast In New Supernatural Series ‘Midnight, Texas’

NBC/Universal’s new series ‘Midnight, Texas’ will soon be premiering. The supernatural series has now added ‘Friday the 13th’ actor Derek Mears to its already impressive cast. Mears is known for his roles in ‘Friday the 13th (2009), Predators (2010), Hatchet, as Stavarin in ‘Dead Snow 2: Red vs. Dead’, and many more. While his character is still unlisted on IMDb, I have it from a reliable source (Mears told me himself) that he will appear in at least one episode. ‘Midnight, Texas’, an adaption of Charlaine Harris’ novels, is closely tied to ‘True Blood’. There is even a good chance that the two series will have a cross-over at some point. Vampires, witches, werewolves and the supernatural will be central to the story of the new show. While it looks normal from the outside, Midnight is a safe haven for all supernatural beings, as well as humans, fortune tellers and other outcasts. In the town your neighbor could be a

Wyrmwood: Road Of The Dead – The Series

Back in 2014, writer-director Klah Roache-Turner unleashed his Australian zombie film ‘Wyrmwood: Road of the Dead‘ which got both a warm reception from genre fans and from us (review). For fans of ‘Wyrmwood’, and zombie fans in general, we have great news. The hit film is getting a spin-off a series. In fact, the official Facebook page for ‘Wyrmwood’ shared an image from the costume test of two of the film’s stars, Bianca Bradley and Jay Gallagher, who will also be appearing in the series. The caption on the image reads: “SO super-awesome to see these two legends in the studio again! The teaser’s gonna be BAAAAADASS!!!” In the comment section it states that the series will deliver “six hours of content instead of another 95-minutes.” While currently being written, the show will reportedly be on “a streaming platform rather than Aussie TV.” That’s a good thing for us here in the states. We will keep you updated. In the

Sarah Paulson Joins Cast of Amazon’s Craigslist Murder Movie, LOST GIRLS

She has dealt with witchy girls, slept cheek by jowl with “freaks”, inhabited a haunted hotel, and even prosecuted a double murderer. But now Sarah Paulson will step into the skin of Mari, the mother of a young woman named Shannan, who is one of many escorts and prostitutes to fall victim to a serial killer. Paulson has been cast to star in the Amazon Studios’ serial killer thriller, Lost Girls. The movie tells the story of a real life serial killer on Long Island, who was often referred to by the media as the “Gilgo Beach Killer”. But due to the fact that many of the killer’s victims were sex workers, who were found on Craigslist, the killer was dubbed with the more familiar moniker of the “Craigslist Ripper” . Documentary filmmaker Liz Garbus will direct the film based on Michael Werwie’s screen adaptation of Robert Kolker’s book Lost Girls: An Unsolved American Mystery (2013). This will be Garbus’

John Borowski’s SERIAL KILLER CULTURE TV Coming Soon to Amazon

Serial killers, there’s no doubt that it’s a subject that fascinates us as a society. The evidence can be found in the popularity of movies and books chronicling the exploits of these real life monsters. Said fascination has even served as inspiration for the creation of fictional serial killers for the printed page and the big screen, who have taken their place in popular culture right beside their real life counter parts. But truth is, if you’ll pardon the cliché, stranger than fiction. One such person, who has spent time shedding light on the truths behind some of these historical homicidal maniacs, is author and filmmaker John Borowski. To date Borowski has made four documentary films about real life serial killers: Serial Killer Culture, Carl Panzram: The Spirit of Hatred and Vengeance, Albert Fish: In Sin He Found Salvation and my personal favorite of the bunch, H.H. Holmes: America’s First Serial Killer. Additionally he has written three books on the
