On November 11, 2022, director Scooter Corkle‘s new horror movie ‘The Friendship Game‘ will be released both On Demand and on Digital. Ahead of its premiere, we talked with Scooter about the film that stars Peyton List (“Cobra-Kai”, “Bunk’d”). The horror film follows a group of teens as they come across a strange object that tests their loyalties to each other and has increasingly destructive consequences the deeper into the game they go. Focus Entertainment and THE PARASITE released the new gamplay trailer for the upcoming first-person dark fairy tale Blacktail as the game’s release will be next month. Blacktail is the retelling of the Slavic myth of Baba Yaga where players take on the role of Yaga, a girl accused of witchcraft and forced to fend for herself but then memories of her past returned in the form of walking spirits, Yaga is then forced to hunt them down with the hopes by doing so she’ll be uncovering her own mystery. Players will be armed with a bow and be able to use magical powers to fight enemies, and gather resources to craft potions and arrows. Players will determine the fate of the land by making moral choices along the way that will determine if Yaga will become a good, or evil witch. Blacktail will be coming out on December 15th for PC, Playstation 5, and Xbox Series X/S

This November, witness the duplicitous side of social media when Gravitas Ventures releases the gripping award-winning film The Willowbrook, produced by the creator of the Final Destination franchise. In the film, “A renowned wellness influencer invites one of her recently overdosed followers to seek recovery at her small-town manor. Once the follower arrives, she realizes the dark world existing within the manor is not what she–nor millions of others–perceived from the internet.” The Willowbrook, a film for the Tik Tok generation, was both written and directed by Zach Klopp, who is making his feature film debut. It stars Jessica Bishop, Erin Day, and Lawrence J. Hughes. It was executive produced by Koepp and Bethe H. Gravitas Ventures, an Anthem Sports & Entertainment company, has just announced the release date for Creatures of Necessity, the directorial debut of acclaimed South African cinematographer Christian Kazadi (“24 Hours Blind,” Blinkers”). Halloween has passed (*sad face) so now it’s time to move on to the other upcoming holiday films, including Robert Livings and Randy Nunldall Jr.’s Christmas horror anthology The Christmas Tapes. The film centers on a family’s movie night on Christmas Eve which is interrupted by a stranger, insistent on making the next Christmas ‘classic’ film himself. Dave Sheridan (The Devil’s Rejects), Greg Sestero (The Room), and Veron Wells (The Road Warrior) star in a yuletide fright-fest like no other! The movie is described as a throwback to the anthology films of the 80s and 90s, but with a modern found-footage twist.
