Techland has just announced that previously unseen gameplay footage of their upcoming first-person zombie game Dying Light 2 will be streamed! Originally the first gameplay footage was only seen privately at E3 this year but will be shown publically at Gamescom and streamed on Techland’s Twitch, Facebook, and Steam pages. Dying Light 2 takes place 15 years after the events of the first game where the zombie virus went from being an isolated incident to a global pandemic. Players take on the role of an infected survivor named Aiden Caldwell as he must journey through the modern Dark Age world in a city full of death. Just like the first game, Dying Light 2 is first-person and parkour helps you traverse the unforgiving landscape where surviving humans are either your ally or enemy but in the shadows wait the infected who have evolved to be completely sensitive to UV light and come out at night. The online multiplayer experience is now stalking campers on Nintendo Switch! Friday the 13th: The Game Ultimate Slasher Edition is out in stores now and will bring the horror of the iconic killing machine Jason Voorhees with you wherever you go, may it be on a public bus, your friend’s house, or maybe even camp! The game is a 1V7 multiplayer where players must work together to survive while one takes on the role of Jason and must, as mother says, kill them all! An offline mode is available where players can take on AI bots. The Ultimate Slasher Edition is full of mind-blowing content and includes a limited edition poster of the Nintendo Switch version of the game! Team Junkfish has teamed up with SOEDESCO to bring their popular PC horror game, Monstrum, into the homes of more gamers! The game has earned high praises from gamers, critics, YouTubers, and Streamers for its unique horror experience that’s not been seen in many horror titles. Monstrum takes players to a derelict cargo ship where they’re not alone. Onboard the ship is a monster that relentlessly hunts its prey and since you’re the only other person on the ship…you’re it! The game has a permadeath mechanic that if you’re killed by the monster, you’ll have to start over but this is where one of the game’s features comes into play. Nintendo Switch users can now partake in the ever-growing multiplayer game of cat and mouse in Behaviour Interactive’s Dead by Daylight. The game takes players to dark locations where they’re either one of four survivors who have to escape or be the killer who hunts down the survivors one by one and kills them. Dead by Daylight is available for pre-order on the Nintendo eShop and participating retailers. The pre-order edition of the game will include nine killers and ten survivors as well as three cosmetic packs. Speaking of cosmetics, all Switch users will be given a free cosmetic feature for the killer known as the Trapper, his new cosmetic look is only for Nintendo Switch users. Dead by Daylight will hit stores and the Nintendo eShop September 24th.

Back in April, we saw a 19-minute demo trailer for Layopi Games and 1c Entertainment’s upcoming punch-em-up RPG, Devil’s Hunt. Well, a new trailer has dropped along with an update on the release date for the game which will have PC players happy and consol owners itching with anticipation. The game was originally going to be released on both PC and consoles at the same time but 1c and Layopi will release the game on Steam September 17, 2019. The developers chose this route as it they say it would allow them time to polish the game and ensure quality befitting a third-person game. 1c and Layopi said they will release Devil’s Hunt on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in the first quarter of 2020 and added Nintendo Switch to the list of consol releases! Devil’s Hunt follows Desmond, a man who made a deal with the devil and granted demonic powers to fight demons. Based on the bestselling Polish

Fellow Traveler and Paranoid Productions indoctrinated me into the Collective Justice Mission and have sent me down to South America to join my fellow members of the congregation in Freedom Town… Well, they were just cool enough to let me try out their game The Church in the Darkness. The game takes place in the 1970s where you take on the role of an ex-cop named Vic who infiltrates the Collective Justice Mission cult’s paradise Freedom Town in what seems to be an eerie parody of Jonestown. Vic’s mission is to find his nephew Alex to see if he’s alright but soon after you arrive, you realize not everything is well. The game is a top view game where you can zoom in a little bit to see more details but other than that, this is the only angle you will see. This actually does help as when you couch you can see the guard’s field of view (depending on

Gearbox Software and Compulsion Games in recent months released a Season Pass for their dystopian psychedelic mod game, We Happy Few. Gearbox was kind enough to share with me the season pass so I can experience one of three DLCs, this one in particular titled Lightbearer that follows a rock icon of the fictional English Island-state of Wellington, Nick Lightbearer. Lightbearer appears in the main game for a short time but images of him are everywhere. In the Lightbearer DLC, it becomes obvious that there are two kinds of people in Wellington, those who still like Nick Lightbearer, and those who despise him. Nick’s star is quickly fading as all the sex, and drugs are killing his rock and roll life. Nick is troubled not only by the fact that he’s burning out but that there’s a series of murders taking place around the hotel he’s staying at, and he’s linked to them! Not onto the game. Monster Couch was kind enough to give me a chance to try out their party game based on a Japanese game show, Tetsumo Party, which is coming out on July the 26th for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, Steam, and Woovit. The main premise of the game is that players take on the role of a sumo wrestler and control his limbs so he’s able to fit through a human-shaped hole in a bamboo wall. This idea is also the basis for a real-life Japanese game show that was adapted a few years ago for American television and renamed Hole in the Wall. Tetsumo Party features a variety of characters that can be unlocked by completing challenges that each character has. Being a party game, up to eight players can play at one time on two controllers. Players manipulate the character’s arms and legs to put them into the right formation in order to allow the character to pass

The game will be available August 2nd and is currently available for pre-order. The Church in the Darkness is a stealth-driven game where players take on the role of Vic, a former cop who travels to the jungles of South America in the 1970s to a village called Freedom Town, a socialist utopia where all the citizens are part of a religious cult of the Collective Justice Mission. Vic’s mission is to locate his nephew who joined the cult and moved to Freedom Town. As you explore the village you’ll learn that not everything is as it seems and not all cult members are truly happy. Choices made by Vic will affect the outcome of the game as there are multiple endings depending on how players choose to play the game, stealthy, run and gun, non-lethal combat, or avoid confrontation
