We first learned that the short film Lights Out would be adapted as a full length feature, written and directed by David F. Sandberg and produced by James Wan (The Conjuring, The Conjuring 2) back in June. The film has now entered post-production and will be released by New Line in July of 2016.
In the feature film, a boy and his estranged sister are stalked by an evil entity that can only be seen when the lights are out.
Lights Out will star Warm Bodies actress Teresa Palmer , Emily Alyn Lind (The Haunting in Connecticut 2), Alicia Vela-Bailey (Interstellar), Amiah Miller (Trafficked), Gabriel Bateman (Annabelle), Andi Osho (Night and Day), and Alexander DiPersia (I Am Legend).
There is a bit of a difference between the plot of the short film and the feature film, but with Wan producing I have no doubt it will be great. A trailer for the full film has not yet been released, but as soon as it is we will let you know. Enjoy the full short film below, but you might want to watch it with the lights on.
