Is ‘The Dark Tower’ Really That Bad?
No, it’s not…..but probably only if you already know the source material. The Dark Tower might seriously be the only movie I ever thought was actually too short. I really do enjoy a concise piece of cinema; Lord of the Rings withstanding, a pretty standard mistake in films, both masterpieces and massacred pieces, is a run time that’s just too long. The infamous bar scene in Inglorious Basterds, the highway opening of Manos: Hands of Fate, pretty much the entirety of The Room; many films, hits and shits alike, often could use a little more time in the cutting room, whether it be the result of overindulgent directors or expensive set pieces the studio doesn’t want to go to waste. However this is not so in The Dark Tower, which is without a doubt one of the most hopelessly confusing films in modern memory. Guess it wasn’t the greatest idea to condense seven novels into 95 minutes (and thats including

Review: ‘Death House’ Is A Dark Twisted Discent Into Hell (In A Good Way)
The highly anticipated genre film Death House, from director Harrison Smith, is approaching its fall release and we’ve reviewed it. Before we get into a review of the film, you should know about the story behind the movie. Originally, the script was penned by Texas Chainsaw Massacre Actor and genre icon Gunnar Hansen. Smith re-wrote the script, keeping Hansen’s vision intact. Smith also got the okay on the script from Hansen just before he passed away. Death House was a big undertaking. No other film in the history of horror has had such an enormous and impressive cast of well known genre actors. The cast list reads like a who’s who of horror and includes stars like Danny Trejo (Machete Kills), Tony Todd (Candyman), Michael Berryman (The Hills Have Eyes), Dee Wallace (Cujo), Kane Hodder (Friday the 13th), Bill Moseley (The Devil’s Rejects), Sid Haig (The Devil’s Rejects), Adrienne Barbeau (The Fog), Barbara Crampton (We Are Still Here), Cody Longo

‘Hannibal’ Creator Confirms He Is In Talks To Revive The Acclaimed Series
Fans and critics alike were heartbroken when NBC announced back in 2015 that after only three seasons they were killing Hannibal. The series’ creator Brad Fuller has continued to tell fans that the series could be revived at some point and that the series is not completely dead. Last night on Twitter Fuller was asked about the series’ status and he had an interesting answer. Conversations couldn’t start until 2 years after the final airing of season 3,” he said. “[The De Laurentiis Company] has started those conversations. This takes time.” Both Mads Mikkelsen and Hugh Dancy have already made it clear that they would love to sink their teeth into a fourth season. I know Hannibal fans all have their fingers (and dinner forks) crossed that we will get another taste of the amazing, dark, and breathtakingly stunning series inspired by the cannibalistic character from Thomas Harris’ novels that introduced the world to Dr. Hannibal Lecter in 1981 in

The cast of Neil Marshall’s Hellboy: Rise of the Blood Queen is beginning to take shape. Last week, it was announced that ‘American Gods’ actor Ian McShane had signed for the film featuring David Harbour as Hellboy. Today, we have more casting news. It has now been revealed that Milla Jovovich has been cast as the villain of the film, the Red Queen. Jovovich has long played Alice, the hero of the long running Resident Evil franchise whose last sequel, Resident Evil: The Final Chapter, opened in theaters this past January. It is an interesting coincidence that Jovovich came face to face with the A.I. that ran by the Umbrella Corporation’s tasks in Resident Evil, its name, the Red Queen. The two queens are not connected in the film world, they simply have the same name. In Rise of the Red Queen, Hellboy will face off against a medieval sorceress who seeks to destroy humankind. The film which is aiming
