Movie Review : Digging Up The Marrow (2014)
Adam Green, the man behind the ‘Hatchet’ franchise, has brought us ‘Digging Up The Marrow’. Green plays himself in this faux documentary about monsters. William Dekker, is a man on a mission, he’s trying to find someone who can help him expose the truth, that monsters are real. Adam Green wrote and directed ‘Digging Up The Marrow’. Green, William Barratt, Josh Ethier, Rileah Vanderbilt, Kane Hodder, and most everyone in the film, play themselves, except for Ray Wise, who plays William Dekker. Wise also starred in many movies, including this year’s hottest supernatural movie ‘The Lazarus Effect’. Odium by Claire C. Riley
Odium (Dead Saga Book 1) by Claire C. Riley is a book I’ve had on my ‘to read’ radar for a while. I was intrigued by the idea that Riley polled Facebook users in order to use them in her book. As far as indie authors go, especially those who write zombies or horror fiction, she had a decent pool to choose from with over 3,000 Facebook fans at her disposal. (A feat for small scale publishing, to be sure.) Her website claims that she intends to bring a modern spin to classic horror. The site also named Romero as one of her influences, so I was optimistic to say the least. Description: It’s better to die by the gun than die by the dead. Nina’s life was irrevocably changed when humanity’s dead began to rise. Now, she lives behind the walls. The barricaded cities, erected by the government to protect the remnants of civilization, have become a brutal dictatorship-

A First Look At Josh Crook’s ‘Demon Hole’
Josh Crook, co-writer and co-director of the 2006 horror thriller ‘Salvage’, is working on a new horror-comedy titled ‘Demon Hole’. In ‘Demon Hole’ a fracking crew, drilling on Native American land, unleashes an ancient evil. Now six teens must find away to survive. Crook had this to say about ‘Demon Hole’ : “The current crop of horror movies has gotten too severe and grim. While scary, they’re also depressing. Taking influence from John Hughes as much as it does John Carpenter and Wes Craven, Demon Hole brings the vibe of the 1980s back and invites the audience to enjoy the ride.” Demon Hole’s cast includes Samantha Scaffidi (The Apocalypse Survival Guide), Paris Campbell (Night Bus), Summer Bills (House of the Witchdoctor), Adrian Denzel (Captain America: The Winter Soldier) and ‘Jupiter Ascending’ actor Austin Ramsey. SC Films has picked up the international rights to ‘Demon Hole’. The release date has not announced at this time.
