Rita, an ordinary, but lonely woman is kidnapped. Her captors are the Árpáds; they claim she is not called Rita but Szilvi, a runaway from their family. Rita eventually understands that the only way out is in – to escape she must impersonate Szilvi. The more she becomes the lost girl the more she finds out about the family, and understands that her life is on the line. Review Director Gábor Holtai’s Hungarian feature Feels Like Home is a dynamic blend of thriller, mystery, and drama with horror elements, as well. The acting throughout is a master class, led by Rozi Lovas’s bravura performance as Rita, a woman who is kidnapped mere minutes after losing her job at a shoe store. One of the kidnappers claims

'Devil's Mouth' Sees Kathryn Newton Goes Head-to-Head with a Shark this Summer

‘Devil’s Mouth’ Sees Kathryn Newton Goes Head-to-Head with a Shark this Summer

Summer always brings heat, humidity, and a fresh wave of shark movies (not that we’re complaining). This year is no different, and the “sharkfest” is only just beginning. Kathryn Newton leads the charge in the latest aquatic survival thriller, Devil’s Mouth. The MPA has officially handed the film a PG-13 rating. Expect plenty of violent content, bloody images, and some suggestive material. A Very Bad Day at the Beach Lana Condor joins Newton as a college friend on a trip to Thailand. Their dream vacation turns into a claustrophobic nightmare in an underwater cave system. A hungry bull shark decides to join the party, trapping them deep below the surface. Old tensions and power struggles resurface as the oxygen begins to fade. Surviving the shark might be easier than surviving each other. The Creative Crew Jeff Wadlow directs from a script by Aja Gabel and Myung Joh Wesner. Amazon, MGM Studios, and Lionsgate are teaming up to co-produce the project.

An Interview with Scream Queen Sadie Katz

An Interview with Scream Queen Sadie Katz

One of my favorite parts of my job is getting to meet amazing people. One of those is Scream Queen Sadie Katz. I first interviewed her back in 2017. Now, ‘ve had the pleasure of catching up with the talented star, who is also an amazing person – kind, funny, and badass. I sat down with Sadie not only to catch up on what she’s been up to, but also to discuss her two most recent films, Night Carnage and Clutch. In N ht Carnage, directed by Thomas J. Churchill, Katz and Mike Ferguson play members of the mysterious Knight Society, an ancient organization. Together, they take on the epic task of training none other than the great-grandson of the Legendary Van Helsing! The movie features both vampires and werewolves, so get ready for bloodshed! Night Carnage promises to be a treat for genre fans who miss the days when movies were mean, messy, and too loud to ignore. With

The New 'Leviticus' Trailer is Here to Remind You to Trust No One

The New ‘Leviticus’ Trailer is Here to Remind You to Trust No One

If you thought your teenage dating life was a horror show, Leviticus is here to make your awkward prom photos look like a walk in the park. After causing a massive stir at the 2026 Sundance Film Festival—and walking away with a prestigious distribution deal from NEON—this queer supernatural thriller is officially set to set theaters ablaze this summer. Forget the slow-burn dread of the Arctic; this is a visceral, “mercilessly upsetting” descent into religious fanaticism in backcountry Australia. Double the Trouble Set in an isolated Australian town where the local pastime seems to be “repressive religious zealotry,” the film follows two star-crossed teens, Naim (Joe Bird) and Ryan (Stacy Clausen). When their budding romance is discovered, a botched attempt at conversion therapy (masquerading as a ritual) accidentally unleashes a demonic entity. The twist? This isn’t your average jump-scare monster. The entity takes the form of the person you desire most. Ryan’s chilling warning to Naim—“If you see anything that

Faces of Death (2026) Slashes its Way into Theaters

Faces of Death (2026) Slashes its Way into Theaters

The infamous 1978 cult classic that once fueled urban legends and parental nightmares is officially back, but this time, the “snuff” is a bit more self-aware. Shudder’s reimagining of Faces of Death has just begun its theatrical run, and the early critical consensus suggests it’s not exactly a flatline. While the original was a grimy anthology of “real” (and famously faked) death footage, this 2026 update trades the VHS aesthetic for the digital dread of the modern internet. The story follows a content moderator who descends into a rabbit hole of videos that meticulously—and violently—recreate iconic death scenes from cinema history. It’s a meta-horror setup that asks: in an era of endless scrolling, what does it take actually to shock us? Early Reviews Early reviews are trickling in, and the film currently holds a respectable 60% Tomatometer on Rotten Tomatoes. Critics seem split between praising its direction and worrying it’s trying to be a bit too “intellectual” for a splatter

Directed by Jo-Anne Brechin and co-written by Katharine McPhee, the film asks a very simple question: What happens when the”Pandas of the Sea” decide they’re done being cute? Apex Predators and Past Regrets The survival thriller stars Gardner (Fall) and Mel Jarnson (Mortal Kombat) as Trish and Maddie, two best friends whose relaxing ocean getaway takes a turn for the” actually, we’re the appetizers.” Trapped in a deadly standoff with a wild Orca, the duo must navigate the freezing water while hauling around some serious emotional baggage from their past. It’s a race to see what catches up to them first: their trauma or the ocean’s most intelligent killing machine. The “Free

Beast of War Director Kiah Roache-Turner Talks Sharks, Gore, and More in Our Interview

Beast of War Director Kiah Roache-Turner Talks Sharks, Gore, and More in Our Interview

One movie you should add to your watch list is the horror/thriller Beast of War. It throws us into the chaos of World War II. The film follows a warship carrying Australian soldiers as they train for their mission. But a sudden, brutal attack by Japanese fighter planes leaves the ship sinking and a handful of survivors stranded on a makeshift raft, floating in a sea of steel, fire, and blood. Their battle with the enemy is just beginning, but a far deadlier one is about to start. Drawn by the smell of blood in the water, an enormous great white shark begins to hunt them, turning their desperate attempt at survival into a terrifying game of cat and mouse. I jumped at the chance to talk with Beast of War‘s writer-director Kiah Roache-Turner, the same director behind the movies Sting and Wyrmwood: Road of the Dead, which I saw when they were released. Turner’s enthusiasm for the film is
