A Child Haunts Jeff Ayars And Simone Policano In The ‘This Is Our Home’ Trailer

The trailer has arrived for This Is Our Home – a riveting new psychological thriller created on a micro-indie budget – makes its world premiere at the 2019 Cinequest Film & Creativity Festival, in the event’s Feature Thrills category. “Jeff Ayars (“Cory”), a viral comedy actor and director turned horror lead, and Simone Policano (“Reina”), a New York City-raised, Yale-educated actress. The unsettling arrival of a mysterious boy, gifted newcomer Drew Beckas (“Zeke”), at Reina’s childhood home throws a nightmarish wrench into their plans for an idyllic, romantic retreat. Perhaps best described by Ayars as “Blue Valentine wrapped in a horror.” Director Omri Dorani and his cinematographer, Thomas Taugher, “carefully composed and choreographed the film over the course of a non-stop, eleven-day shoot to showcase the on-screen chemistry of Ayars (a fellow Philadelphia-native) and Policano–a couple off-screen. The exhausting into-the-night schedule pushed the stars’ raw chemistry to the limit and was intensified when Ayars underwent an emergency appendectomy just days

‘Last Exorcism’ Director Teaming Up With ‘The Strangers’ Writer For ‘Them’

Following this month’s episode of Hulu and Blumhouse’s holiday-themed horror series “Into the Dark”, titled “Down”, director Daniel Stamm (The Last Exorcism) teased his upcoming horror film, a home invasion thriller, during a conversation with Daily Dead. His next project titled Them was written by Bryan Bertino (The Strangers). Them, set in Texas, centers on a group of oil workers attacked by something out in the desert and sounds like a new spin on the home invasion genre. I’m hopefully directing next a movie called They, written by Bryan Bertino and produced by Dark Castle. We’re casting now,” Stamm told the site. “Bryan Bertino is the guy who wrote and directed The Strangers, and he has a talent for writing set pieces that are really fresh, interesting, and unpredictable. It’s so hard to do something original and fresh in the home invasion space, because there are only so many ways to scare someone.” Stamm continued, “It’s home invasion… all set

Blu-ray Review: Next of Kin (1982)

Linda (Jacki Kerin) inherits a retirement home called Montclare from her mother…now that is one hell of a thing to inherit…I mean what young woman wouldn’t want to own a mega-creepy house jam-packed with weird ass old people, and dreadful secrets (more on that in a tick)? I know for a fact that is exactly the number one wish of women ages 18 to 24…that and like Pogs or some shit… Anyway, Linda reads her mother’s diaries which detail some off-the-wall shit, like the fact someone was watching her and her tenants were dying under some fishy circumstances. Guess what? Like mother like daughter because L-dawg starts to see someone on her ass, and those geriatric jokers in her care begin dropping off…and before long, she is in a fight to keep both her sanity and well-being intact! Filled with breathtaking shot composition, a janky, off-kilter aesthetic, pitch perfect slow-burn pace, stunning location, and genuinely creepy moments, Next of Kin

First Details Of Jurassic World 3 Surface

We are headed back to a world where dinosaurs still walk the earth for the final installment of the Jurassic World trilogy with Colin Trevorrow back in the director’s chair. So what can we expect? If I could contextualize each film, I would say Jurassic World was an action adventure, Fallen Kingdom is kind of a horror-suspense film, and Jurassic World 3 will be a science thriller, in the same way, Jurassic Park Was.” Trevorrow said in a recent interview.” Franchise star Chris Pratt recently talked with MTV News about the third installment. I can’t say anything, but I can tell you when I heard the pitch, I was blown away. I can’t believe that we’re going to make the movie, and I can’t believe they found a way to deliver on the promise of the end of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. Like, ‘Wait what? The island has blown up. The animals are out, we can’t put them back into

Stephen King’s ‘Mile 81’ Getting An Adaptation

Stephen King adaptations just keep coming (not that we are complaining). Only one day after the trailer was released for the reboot of King’s Pet Sematary, news comes, via Deadline, that Alistar Legrand has now signed on to direct the adaptation of King’s novella Mile 81 from the script penned by Legrand and Luke Harvest. The tale, which was originally an e-book, was later expanded as part of King’s The Bazaar of Bad Dreams collection. “Set around a remote, boarded-up rest stop, the film will follow 12-year-old Pete, his brother, and a group of strangers who must fight to survive as they’re hunted by a mysterious force.” Legrand is the same director behind 2015’s supernatural film The Diabolical and the 2017 thriller Clinical. Ross M. Dinerstein, who produced the adaptation of King’s 1922, will serve as producer for Mile 81 which is headed to the European Film Market in Berlin. Mile 81 follows a long list of King adaptations headed
