The Trailer For Jordan Peele’s ‘Us’ Is Terrifying

It’s Christmas morning and Universal Pictures has given horror fans a gift, the first trailer for Jordan Peele‘s monster movie Us. Set in the present day the film follows Adelaide (Lupita Nying’o) and Gabe Wilson (Winson Duke) as they take their kids to visit Adelaide’s childhood North California home for the summer. After a day spent at the beach with the Tyler family (Elisabeth Moss, Tim Heidecker), Adelaide – who is haunted by her past trauma – becomes increasingly paranoid that something bad is going to happen to her family. As the night falls the Wilsons see four figures standing silently at the end of their driveway. For my second feature, I wanted to create a monster mythology,” Peele told EW during a recent interview. “I wanted to do something that was more firmly in the horror genre but still held on to my love of movies that are twisted but fun.” Us, the follow up to Peele’s award-winning social

Megan Freels Johnston, that’s a name you should get familiar with because you are going to be hearing it a lot in the very near future. I sat down with the writer/director/producer to talk about her past film The Ice Cream Truck and her upcoming films, The Hunting Season and Payback’s a Bitch. Horror Fuel: “Where did you find the inspiration for your film The Ice Cream Truck?” Megan Freels Johnston: “I lived in a neighborhood that happens to have a lot of ice cream trucks and I had just moved there. What struck me about those ice cream trucks was that they were actually selling the whole ice cream cones and banana splits. When I grew up they just sold wrapped up ice cream bars. It seemed so old-fashioned to me. I had just had my second child and I was home with the baby. I kept hearing the trucks go by with the music. It occurred to me

Movie Review: The Super – Starring Val Kilmer And Patrick John Flueger

Lionsgate’s supernatural thriller The Super, from director Stephen Rick, is approaching its arrival on Blu-ray and DVD. I had the opportunity to watch it and I’d like to share my thoughts with you. “Chicago P.D.” actor Patrick John Flueger stars as Phil, a father who starts a new job as the Super of an apartment building. Phil moves his two daughters, who are still reeling from the loss of their mother, into their new apartment that’s more of a storage room than a home. It doesn’t take long for Phil’s co-worker Walter, played by Val Kilmer, to focus on the girls, especially the youngest, Rose (Mattea Conforti). As the building’s tenants begin to disappear Phil thinks that a killer is at work and comes to believe that Walter may be behind it all. But, not everything is as it seems. Just when you think you’ve figured out what’s going on you’re hit with a huge twist that you won’t see

Nicolas Cage Teases His Next Movie Is His Wildest Yet

Nicolas Cage has starred in some pretty wild films, most recently Mandy which is balls to the wall crazy. You would think that it is the craziest he can get, but you’d be wrong. During the third annual Macao International Film Festival this past weekend Cage teased that his next film, Prisoners of the Ghostland, the English-language debut of Sion Sono (Suicide Club), is his craziest yet. And that’s saying something. I’m thrilled about it! It’s unlike anything I’ve ever read before. It might be the wildest movie I’ve ever made, and that’s saying something,” Cage told the crowd. “It’s out there. I wear a skintight black leather jumpsuit with grenades attached to different body parts, and if I don’t rescue the governor’s daughter from this state line where they’re all ghosts and bring her back they’re gonna blow me up.” He continued, “It’s just crazy. It’s way out there.” According to IMDb, Prisoners of the Ghostland is a supernatural
