Movie Review: Lifechanger (2018)

Emily Roberts (Elitsa Bako) wakes up one morning next to her withered husk of a corpse. How can this be? Well, it seems ol’ E-Dawg isn’t herself at all, but rather a shape-shifter named Drew (voiced by genre stalwart Bill Oberst Jr.) who can transform into anyone he murders for six hours before he begins to rot and must take on another form. As you can imagine, our hero will do anything to keep his secret even resorting to non-bodymorphing homicide if the sitch dictates. Soon a new wrinkle presents itself; Drew begins carrying over injuries from one body to the next…and all of the above will make his task of setting things right with an old flame that knew him as someone else damn near impossible! As you can imagine; Lifechanger is one hell of a unique motion picture. Part thriller, part body horror, part psychological drama…this flick takes all of those disparate elements and concocts a ghoulish goulash

‘Await Further Instructions’ Coming To Blu-ray And DVD

This December director Johnny Kevorkian‘s British sci-fi thriller Await Further Instructions Blu-ray and DVD. On Christmas day, “the Milgram family wake to find a mysterious black substance surrounding their house. Something monumental is clearly happening right outside their door, but what exactly – an industrial accident, a terrorist attack, nuclear war? Descending into terrified arguments, they turn on the television, desperate for any information. On screen, a message glows ominously: ‘Stay Indoors and Await Further Instructions’. As the television exerts an ever more sinister grip, their paranoia escalates into bloody carnage.” Starring David Bradley (Game Of Thrones, Doctor Who, Harry Potter), Sam Gittins, Neerja Naik, and Grant Masters, the film recently received a five-star review from our writer Dan XIII. Pick up your copy of Await Further Instructions on Bly-ray and DVD on December 11, 2018, from Dark Sky Films.

Movie Review: The Cabin (2018)

Hey I got a new one for ya; a couple heads to a secluded cabin and encounter terror…and by new I mean absolutely the most tired trope out there. Let’s see if The Cabin can do anything to spice up this hoary ol’ chestnut… Bickering couple, Rose (Caitlin Crommett) and Harry (Christopher Lee Page) head out for a little R&R at a cabin located in the middle of East Asshair where they hope to patch it up baby as their relationship comes apart at the seams (apologies to The King for that paraphrasin’). Sounds well and good except, they are not alone for long at the rustic abode as a deceitful, absolutely bat-shit insane psycho named Sven (Erik Kammerland who also wrote the flick) comes into their lives and forces them into one hell of a nightmare scenario…one in which there may not be a way out of alive! I’d love to tell you lot that The Cabin is a

‘Mandy’ Makes Its Streaming Premiere Exclusively On Shudder This November

Mandy, hailed by Newsweek as a “fable from an alternate dimension,” is set to make its highly anticipated streaming premiere exclusively on Shudder later this month. Directed by Panos Cosmatos (Beyond the Black Rainbow) and produced by SpectreVision, XYZ Films, and Umedia, Mandy stars Oscar and Golden Globe-winner Nicolas Cage in a stunning performance that critics are celebrating as one of the best in his long and illustrious career—and which Entertainment Weekly raves is “insane (in all the right ways).” Cage stars as a man whose peaceful woodland existence with his wife is brutally shattered by a nightmarish religious cult and their demon-biker henchmen, propelling him into a spiraling, surreal rampage of vengeance. Andrea Riseborough (Birdman, Bloodline) and Linus Roache (Homeland, Batman Begins) also star. AMC’s streaming network for horror and thrillers, Shudder has acquired the exclusive streaming rights to Mandy in the U.S. from RLJ Entertainment and the Canadian rights from Elevation Pictures. Mandy is the latest in a

Movie Review: Prodigy (2018)

Erik (Cory Kays) is livin’ the sad-sack lifestyle thanks to the loss of his wife Emily (Adrianne White)…a lifestyle that leads to that ol’ classic; self medicatin’! Adding to the fun is his estranged son, who makes with the demands; like carting his ass to a undisclosed location (try slammin’ that one up in your GPS) to receive a message from upon high that can save humanity…so you know, absolutely no pressure there. Will our father/son duo be able to save the world and more importantly heal their fractured relationship? Look, I’m going to throw this out right up front…while Prodigy definitely has some thriller elements and that whole “end of the world” situation that has been featured in plenty of genre flicks; this film is two things above all…a family drama, and a “faith based film”, so this is definitely not anything that I would ever choose to watch on my own, but thems the brakes sometimes. That’s not

“Eureka’s” Tembi Locke Tells Us About Her Role In Hulu’s New Series “Into The Dark”

I sat down with talented actress Tembi Locke to talk with her about several of her roles such as Grace Monroe on “Eureka”, a series I absolutely adored, about a town of scientists and their inventions that end up causing chaos. We also talked about one of Tambi’s most recent roles in Hulu’s new film series “Into the Dark”. “Into the Dark” is part film and part series. Each month an episode is released as a feature length film that is inspired by that month’s holiday. I should also mention that the series is a Blumhouse production. November’s episode centers on Kimberly, a young woman, played by Diana Silvers, who has severe agoraphobia. With the help of her psychiatrist (Tembi Locke), Kimberly is working towards finding the power to leave her home. When she discovers her father’s (Dermot Mulroney) dark secret she must find a way to escape her phobia and her father’s wrath. Horror Fuel: “I was a huge,
