‘Bloody Ballet’ Dances Towards Its Release

In the tradition of Suspiria, and featuring horror icons Caroline Williams and Debbie Rochon, Bloody Ballet is dancing towards its November release date. “When a beautiful ballerina dancer, Adriana Mena (Kendra Carelli, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2), lands the lead role in the upcoming Nutcracker performance, she’s forced to face her demons as jealousy and tension begin to provoke the supernatural.” The horror-thriller blends the atmosphere and suspense of thriller fiction with elements of horror fiction and eroticism – in the vein of Dario Argento’s and Suspiria and Sergio Martino’s Torso – Bloody Ballet is a tour-de-force for rising filmmaker Brett Mullen, who co-wrote the script with Matt Cloude. Caroline Williams (Texas Chainsaw Massacre II, Halloween II), Debbie Rochon (Model Hunger, Death House), Katie Carpenter (“The Haunting of Hill House”), Brett Wagner (The Happytime Murders), and Rob Springer (Bombshell Bloodbath) star in Bloody Ballet, out November 13th on VOD and December 4th on DVD from High Octane Pictures.

Movie Review: Possum (2018)

Phillip (Sean Harris), a disgraced puppeteer (are there any other kinds really…), returns to his childhood home, or to be more precise; his isolated, dilapidated former home set among the bleak and barren Norfolk landscape. Once there he reflects on his troubled childhood and deals with his last surviving relative; a real son of a bitch named Maurice (Alun Armstrong). As the days progress, Phillip continuously attempts to rid himself of the spider-like puppet, the eponymous ‘Possum’, he lugs around in a large handbag…only to have the beast reappear. Just what did Phillip due to be ostracized, and just what connection does he have to the recent disappearance of a local schoolboy? Though by no means exactly this; the best way I can describe Possum is to imagine Robin Hardy directing Basket Case for Amicus (with Pete Walker consulting). This is one grim, dreary, surreal, and absolutely compelling watch, as Harris; as our perpetually frowning, chain smoking, and quite possibly

Shudder Announces New Killer Original Series ‘Deadwax’

A killer strikes terror from the turntable in Shudder‘s first original scripted short-form series, “Deadwax“. Created and directed by filmmaker, acclaimed sound designer and electronic musician Graham Reznick (I Can See You, co-writer of the PlayStation hit Until Dawn), Deadwax chronicles the hunt for a rare recording believed to cause madness and death to anyone who dares listen. In the eight-episode series, Etta (Hannah Gross, Mindhunter), an audiophile and rare vinyl record dealer, is hired to find the only existing print of a notorious record that kills whoever listens to it. At the time of its pressing, the engineer had a heart attack and the vinyl supposedly captured the sound of death itself. When Etta comes across Perry (Evan Gamble, Hap & Leonard), a police officer afflicted by the record, she discovers that hearing even a single note can cause insanity. In order to save Perry and survive the job, she must race to unravel the deadly record’s otherworldly origins.

(Watch) Pauly Shore Stars As A Serial Killer In ‘Sin City Psycho’

See Pauly Shore in a role like never before, as a psychotic serial killer in his new short psychological thriller Sin City Psycho which he also wrote, directed, and produced as a proof of concept. Known for his roles in films like Encino Man, Bio-Dome, and Son in Law, Shore stars as an unhinged killer, toying with his next victim played by Sharon Gardner. I’ve always wanted to play a psychopath, what actor doesn’t? I’ve been known for comedy my entire life, so it was really fun to dig in and do something unexpected. I came up with this premise a while ago; I’ve always loved Dexter, American Psycho, and Silence of the Lambs,” Shore stated. I thought filming something in Las Vegas regarding an unfaithful spouse made sense because people go to Vegas all the time and always say when they do bad things, ‘whatever happens in Vegas stays in Vegas,’ that’s not the case for my character Donovan,

Blu-ray Review: Torso (1973)

One sick mofo with a twisted fashion sense is murderin’ college co-eds with a black and red ascot, and American exchange student Jane (Suzy Kendall) has a notion in her noggin that she has seen that sinister scarf somewhere before. With that revealed, J-dawg and her gal pals head to a remote villa for safety…but of course that murderous madman is clued in to where the one person that could blow his cover is layin’ low and he brings his horror-biz “A”-game to the countryside, stalkin’ and slayin with wild abandon! Soon Jane finds herself B.D. in a game of killer cat and mouse with the black gloved assailant in a fight for her life! Director Sergio Martino delivers one hell of a sleazy, violence packed giallo with Torso. Filled with all of the trademarks of the genre; stylish murder set pieces, a black gloved clad killer, et.al.; this entry ups the nudity and sexual content…while still managing to maintain
