Movie Review: Answer The Call And Watch The Must See Horror 'The Black Phone'

Movie Review: Answer The Call And Watch The Must See Horror ‘The Black Phone’

Like many of you, I’ve been eagerly awaiting to see director Scott Derrickson’s new installment in terror, The Black Phone, which is now out On Demand, VOD, and streaming on Peacock. The Black Phone centers on “Finney Shaw, a shy but clever, bullied, 13-year-old boy abducted by a sadistic killer and trapped in a soundproof basement where screaming is of little use. When a disconnected phone on the wall begins to ring, Finney discovers that he can hear the voices of the killer’s previous victims. And they are dead set on making sure that what happened to them doesn’t happen to Finney. Young actor Mason Thames, who stars as Finney, gives performs far beyond his years. He’s incredible at emoting his character’s fear, sadness, and desperation as he faces “The Grabber” and the reality of his situation. He starts as a meek, somewhat pathetic character who evolves into a man of the action thanks to the guidance of the spirits

We’re Getting Two “Tree House Of Horrors” This Year!

For the first time, this Halloween will get not one, but two “Simpsons” Treehouse of Horror specials! According to Variety, this year we will get one standard anthology-style special, like usual, but the second is going to be extra scary, “The Simpsons” is taking us to Derry, Maine for a completely Stephen King’s IT-themed episode! “We’ve never done a single fantastical, bloody, scary, dark story, told over the scope of the 20 minutes and 40 seconds that is an episode. I think the fans are going to be really excited. Certainly, the tattoos already exist of Krusty as Pennywise. So we’re just writing about the tattoos now. You want as many tattoo-worthy moments in your episodes as you can.” Said executive producer Matt Selman told Variety. “As for the regular, three-story “Treehouse of Horror,” one of this year’s segments will be a riff on the popular anime series “Death Note.” An entirely different studio is handling the animation, as “The

New ‘Salem’s Lot’ Adaptation Hit With A Major Delay

Stephen King fans were excited back in April to learn that Gary Dauberman‘s new adaptation of the vampire tale Salem’s Lot is on its way. The film was set to premiere in theaters this September, but that’s no longer the case. The movie has sadly been hit with a major delay and will now premiere in April of 2023, according to Deadline. It’s been a year since the news broke that the adaptation was in the works with horror heavy hitter James Wan serving as producer for the movie from Warnes Bros. and New Line, which was written and directed by another horror legend, Gary Dauberman (IT, Annabelle Comes Home, The Nun). Roy Lee and Mark Wolper will also produce, with Dauberman serving as executive producer. When Monopoly Goes Dark

When Monopoly Goes Dark

There are loads of great board games for horror fans available, but there have been a few occasions when the classic game of Monopoly has provided us with something a little spookier than capitalism. These are the times Monopoly has altered to provide a game horror fans can get their teeth into. Hasbro has produced a number of well-known board games including Axis & Allies, Clue (Cluedo), Trivial Pursuit, and Risk. Yet, Monopoly is far and away the most popular creation and is played in a number of different forms with an Empire edition, card game, and even a fully licensed real money casino game. The title is available at numerous online casinos and some of these have promotions that can be used on it, so it’s worth looking into the Live Monopoly bonus basics to see where the best value can be found. However, it should be noted that all versions of the classic game are produced or licensed
