New 'The Boogeyman' Trailer Brings Nightmares To Life

New ‘The Boogeyman’ Trailer Brings Nightmares To Life

The new adaptation of Stephen King’s tale, The Boogeyman, is on its way, and today the second trailer has arrived, giving us a taste of the horrors and darkness that await us. In the film, a man named Lester Billings talks to his psychiatrist about the “murders” of his three young children, describing the events of the past several years. His first two children died mysteriously of apparently unrelated causes (diagnosed as crib death and convulsions, respectively) when left alone in their bedrooms. The only commonalities were that the children cried, “Boogeyman!” and the closet door was found ajar after discovering their corpses, even though Billings is certain the door was shut. Host and “Bite Size Horror” director Rob Savage is at the helm of the film that began filming this past spring and will expand on the original tale. The film stars David Dastmalchian, Chris Messian, Sophie Thatcher, Marin Ireland, and Vivian Lyre Blair. Written by Scott Beck and

Movie Review: The Long Dark Trail (2022 - Cleopatra Blu-ray)

Movie Review: The Long Dark Trail (2022 – Cleopatra Blu-ray)

Things are mega-shitty for two teenage brothers (Brady and Carter O’Donnell) in rural Pennsylvania. How so you may (or may not) ask? Well, their beloved mother has flown the coop, and Daddy Dearest is an abusive dick second to none. It’s that last point that inspires our heroes to beat feet out of the cabin the family calls home, and begin a trek into the wicked woods that surround their abode. As they trek through the verdant forests in search of their mother they begin to realize there is something sinister among the trees and streams… namely a pagan cult that may be worse than the home-based horrors they faced previous! Writer/directors Kevin Ignatius and Nick Psinakis do a lot right with The Long Dark Trail. For starters, the story is a deft blend of Stand By Me-style dark childhood journey mixed with folk horror cult goodness that works incredibly well from a narrative stand point. This story is helped

7 Most Memorable Horror Movie Villains

7 Most Memorable Horror Movie Villains

Horror films have a solid following of people who love getting scared. They’ve drawn in audiences since the early days of Dracula and The Wolf Man films. All this time, filmmakers try to capture the haunting atmosphere, gore, and sense of dread. To do this, every movie needs a formidable antagonist. That’s why movie villains often take the spotlight in most horror franchises. People love dressing up in their costumes and wielding replicas of their famous weapons. But no one wants to meet them in a dark alley. While there are many classical and modern villains, several of them stand above the rest. Annie Wilkes – Misery Unlike other bad guys on this list, Annie Wilkes doesn’t have a long-running franchise. She has no iconic clothes, murder weapons, or supernatural powers.
