C. Thomas Howell is set to star in AMC’s “The Terror: Infamy“, the second season of the historical anthology series that debuted last year. “Set during World War II, the haunting and suspenseful 10-episode season centers on a series of bizarre deaths that haunt a Japanese-American community, and a young man’s journey to understand and combat the malevolent entity responsible.” Actor, author, and activist George Takei (Star Trek) will be a series regular as well as a consultant for the series. Small Town Monsters continues to explore the myths and reality of the most frightening legends. This time they take to the air with Terror in the Skies, whose trailer has just been unveiled. Five New Souls To Face The Terror Of ‘Scary Stories To Tell In The Dark’

Today CBS Films and eOne have announced more cast for the André Øvredal (The Autopsy of Jane Doe, Trollhunter) directed Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark. Joining the cast are Michael Garza (Wayward Pines, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1), Austin Abrams (Brad’s Status, The Americans), Gabriel Rush (Moonrise Kingdom, The Grand Budapest Hotel), Austin Zajur (Fist Fight, Kidding), and Natalie Ganzhorn (Make it Pop, Wet Bum). After a fifteen year run Girls and Corpses magazine has formed a new label, Girls and Corpses Presents which is kicking off with two horror comedies, Cynthia and Exorcism at 60,000 Feet. Cynthia was written, produced and fully financed by Robert “Corpsy” Rhine (Creator of Girls and Corpses Magazine). Girls and Corpses is following in the footsteps of National Lampoon going from newsstand magazine to production studio. A Celebration Of The Worst Horror Films: The Leprechaun Series

Photo by Anna and Michael / CC BY-SA 2.0 The Leprechaun films are loosely based on the mythology of Ireland’s ‘Little green man’ Every now and again, a stroke of creative genius leads to the creation of films that simultaneously entertaining and really, really bad. The Leprechaun franchise is one such creation. It has amassed a cult following of fans who aren’t afraid to admit just how terrible the films are, but at the same time can’t help but derive enjoyment from watching them. This is a celebration of the very worst of the horror genre! There are seven films in the Leprechaun series. The first was released in 1993, while the latest addition, the prequel ‘Origins’, came out in 2014. Each installment of the comedy-horror film featured Warwick Davis, perhaps the film’s only saving grace, apart from the last one. For those who still can’t get enough of the Leprechaun, SyFy is rebooting the series for release in 2019.

A Young Woman Finds Terror In The Trailer For Euro-Horror ‘The Antithesis’

A young woman finds terror during her stay in an isolated house in the countryside in the new trailer for The Antithesis, starring Crisula Stafida (Tulpa) and Marina Loi (zombi 3). “An isolated house in the countryside is beset by strange phenomena caused by bizarre temperature surges. Taking the advice of an architect, a young female geologist agrees to spend the night in the mysterious house in an attempt to identify the strange happenings. Once there, she finds herself trapped in a parallel reality…inside a vortex of horror and delirium. This stylish slice of Euro-horror was inspired by the Giallo films of Dario Argento and Mario Bava and features a pulse-pounding musical score by Claudio Simonetti of Goblin (Suspiria, Deep Red, Dawn of the Dead).” The film, directed by Francesco Mirabelli, won the “Mario Bava” award in the latest edition of the FantaFestival in Rome and will soon be released in the US from Bayview Entertainment.
