New Film Will Go ‘Behind The Sightings’ Of Last Summer’s Clown Invasion

If you suffer from Coulrophobia (the fear of clowns) you’re going to have a rough year. There are several clown themed movies headed our way this year, including Stephen King’s IT, Clowntergeist, and Crepitus. Now, a new film is on our radar, Behind the Sightings. Last summer, a wave of creepy clown sightings throughout the country had some citizens so terrified they refused to leave their houses. Clowns stalked children and roamed the streets with painted faces and weapons in hand. Some clowns even attempted to lure children into the woods with promises of candy. Finally the clowns disappeared. Now, after nearly a year has passed, Behind the Sightings wants explore the phenomenon, promising to bring the nightmares back of creepy clowns hiding in the shadow. Tommy V Films has nabbed the rights to Behind the Sightings, part documentary and part found footage film and has announced an October release. Tony H. Cadwell was in the director’s chair for the

Another Spin-Off For The Conjuring 2 ?

The Conjuring is headed towards being the franchise with the most spin-offs in history. There is possibly another spin-off on its way. And no, I’m not talking about Annabelle 2: Creation or The Nun. Annabelle: Creation producer Peter Safran said something very interesting while talking with JoBlo recently. He said that it is a possibility that the “Crooked Man” from The Conjuring 2 may get a film of his own. “…I suspect a movie with him would be really really cool.” He continued, “…we have some interesting ideas for him. So we’ll see.” The creepy long-legged entity, played by Javier Botet, was not CGI like many thought. That was just Botet in a skin tight suit. Safran explains, “None of it was CG. It was 100% practical. That actor just looks like that, we created an amazing wardrobe for him. Skin tight latex-basically suit.” I could definitely see a whole film based on the character, he is creepy as hell.

And A Bottle of Ho-Hum: PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: DEAD MEN TELL NO TALES REVIEW

Is there a series with more severe dimensioning returns than Pirates? We are ten years past the last film in the series that was even considered passable, and fourteen since the only movie that was actually great. But hey, Johnny has alimony payments and these films somehow still make more money than all the gold on Treasure Island. So here we are with the 5th Pirates of The Caribbean film, which despite no-one asking for or wanting, everyone will end up dragging themselves to the theaters for anyway. At this point the franchise has long since gone rotten, and Dead Men Tell No Tales is the moldy fish scraped from the barrels bottom. Captain Jack Sparrow is back, but far from the Oscar nominated performance of the past, Depp has all the charm of a fifty year old man in the midst of a nasty divorce and domestic violence accusations trying to earn a paycheck. Lazy, stupid, and an afterthought

With Jeepers Creepers 3 in post production, details are starting to emerge. It seems that not only does it pick up after the events in part 2, it is filled with flash backs. Word is, writer-director Victor Salva had completely rewrote the script after it was announced to lower the budget for the movie that has had so much trouble getting off the ground. Women (In Horror) Crush Wednesday: ALIEN DAY TWOFER! Sigourney Weaver And Veronica Cartwright

Greetings, my Little Xenomorphs. Yes, I know you’re all accustomed to the moniker of Little Monsters, but today is the 26th of April or 4/26, thus making it ALIEN DAY! I trust I don’t need to explain the relevance of the number combination in relation to the movie Alien. BUT, for those of you who don’t know, it’s a reference to the planet, known as LV-426, where the crew of the star-freighter Nostromo first encountered the facehugger that “impregnated” Ash (played by the late great John Hurt). OK, that’s enough of that, because we’re here to focus on TWO wonderful Women of Horror today. That’s right, count ’em…one, two. As you can clearly see, the focus today is on the only two female female cast members of Ridley Scott’s classic 1979 film, Alien – Veronica Cartwright and Sigourney Weaver. Both of these ladies would grace the world with their presence in 1949. Veronica A. Cartwright was born on April 20th
