Anna Kendrick Starring In True Crime Movie ‘Rodney & Sheryl’

If you are true crime fan odds are you’ve heard about serial killer Rodney Alcala. In 1978, during one of his most lethal years, the killer took the time to appear on “The Dating Game” where host Jim Lange introduced him as a “successful photographer.” Alcala was even chosen as the winner of that episode by Cheryl Bradshaw, luckily the woman decided not to go out with him because she got creepy vibes. That may have been the best decision of her life. His appearance on the cringe-worthy series earned him the nickname “The Dating Game Killer.” Up-and-coming filmmaker Chloe Okuno is making a name for herself in the horror genre. Not only does she have an upcoming A24 film and a Stephen King adaptation in the works, but she’s also making a true-crime thriller about Alcala’s appearance on “The Dating Game” for Netflix. Titled Rodney & Sheryl, the film stars Anna Kendrick (Pitch Perfect franchise) as Cheryl Bradshaw, the

The Serial Killer That Used Mind Control

When you hear of a serial killer, you automatically picture a deranged individual not afraid to get their hands dirty and get up close and personal with their victims. In movies we see a lot of killers so evil that they are capable of getting others to kill for them, thus keeping their hands clean of the crime…that’s just fantasy, right? In Japan, where major crimes are so rare that they don’t make national news, but one criminal, though not talked about much in the media anymore, is engrained in the public consciousness, Futoshi Matsunaga, the infamous Mind Control Killer. By clinical standards, Matsunaga is the perfect example of a Psychopath, someone who feels no remorse or emotion when it comes to right and wrong, since he was young he stood out from his peers as he was very social, gifted with a silver tongue it seems and was a disciplinary problem in high school. At 19 he married and

Shudder has just unveiled the poster and trailer for their new upcoming dark mystery thriller Caveat ahead of its June premiere. Caveat marks the feature directorial debut of Damian McCarthy. It centers on one drifter Isaac as he “accepts a job to look after his landlord’s niece, Olga, for a few days in an isolated house on a remote island. It seems like easy money, but there’s a catch: he must wear a leather harness and chain that restricts his movements to certain rooms. Once Olga’s uncle, Barrett leaves the two of them alone, a game of cat and mouse ensues as Olga displays increasingly erratic behavior as a trapped Isaac makes a series of horrific discoveries in the house.” The feature debut from Irish writer/director Damian Mc Carthy, Caveat stars Ben Caplan (Band of Brothers, “Call the Midwife”), Jonathan French (A Soldier’s Voice), and Leila Sykes (Missing Something).
