Sink your teeth into the first teaser trailer for Showtime’s upcoming series, “Let the Right One In,” based on the iconic 2004 novel by Swedish author John Ajvide Lindqvist. Set in New York City, the ten-episode series stars Demián Bichir, Anika Noni Rose, Grace Gummer, Madison Taylor Baez, Kevin Carroll, Ian Foreman, Jacob Buster, and Nick Stahl. Locked in at age 12, perhaps forever, Eleanor (Anika Noni Rose) lives a close-in life, able to go out only at night, while her father (Demián Birchir) does his best to provide her with the human blood she needs to stay alive after being turned into a vampire 10 years earlier. Showtime’s series adaptation of Let the Right One In is picking up momentum. Based on the iconic 2004 novel by Swedish author John Ajvide Lindqvist, Away‘s Andrew Hinderaker is bringing the epic vampire tale to TV. EW has just shared the first images from the series via Instagram. Set in New York City, the series stars Demián Bichir, Anika Noni Rose, Grace Gummer, Madison Taylor Baez, Kevin Carroll, Ian Foreman, Jacob Buster, and Nick Stahl. Shudder‘s upcoming limited series “Queer for Fear: The History of Queer Horror,” executive produced by “Hannibal” creator Bryan Fuller, finally has a release date, set for this September. New Director Sinks His Fangs Into Marvel's 'Blade'

Marvel Reveals ‘Blade’ Release Date During SDCC

After years of asking if Blade would ever return, we finally have an answer. Yes, the MCU will indeed bring back the vampire killer, however, Wesley Snipes will not be reprising his role in Marvel’s reboot. Oscar-winner Mahershala Ali will be stepping into the role. During the Marvel panel at SDCC, it was revealed that shooting for Blade begins filming this October and that it will open in theaters on November 3, 2023. Stacy Osei-Kuffour (“Watchmen”) was recently brought on board to write the script, and Bassam Tariq (Mogul Mowgli) will be directing. Delroy Lindo (Get Shorty, Da 5 Bloods) and Aaron Pierre (“The Underground Railroad,” M. Night Shyamalan’s Old) star alongside Mahershala Ali. If you blinked you would have missed it, but we got our first look of Ali as Blade in movie the 2021 Eternals. And I have to say, he looks the part. Netflix Debuts New ‘Sandman’ Trailer At SDCC

There have been a ton of trailers that debuted at SDCC, including for “Interview With the Vampire,” the trailer for the upcoming “Lord of the Rings” series, SYFY’s “Reginald the Vampire,” and the upcoming Teen Wolf movie. We can now add Netflix’s “The Sandman” trailer to the list. Based on the graphic novels of Neil Gaiman, the highly anticipated series is described as “A rich blend of modern myth and dark fantasy in which contemporary fiction, historical drama, and legend are seamlessly interwoven; the Sandman follows the people and places affected by Morpheus, the Dream King, as he mends the cosmic — and human — mistakes he’s made during his vast existence.” The cast includes Tom Sturridge as Drea, Gwendoline Christie as Lucifer, Vivienne Acheampong as Lucienne, Boyd Holbrook as The Corinthian, Charles dance as Rodrick Burgess, and Asim Chaudry as Abel.
