Shudder’s “Creepshow” Trailer Teases A Bloody Good Series

Shudder‘s “Creepshow” series is headed our way, featuring 12 terrifying tales. The new trailer goes old school in the best possible way, mixing practical special effects, the look of the original ’82 film, great writers and a fantastic cast. Shudder’s new “Creepshow” series follows in the footsteps of the iconic horror classic written by Stephen King and directed by George A. Romero, famously billed as “the most fun you’ll ever have being scared!” A considerable number of contributors to the new series have ties to the film and its 1987 sequel: the series will feature adaptations of a story by King as well as one by his son, Joe Hill, who fans will recall played comic-book loving “Billy” in the original film’s wrap-around segments. Adrienne Barbeau And Tobin Bell Join Shudder’s “Creepshow”

Shudder, AMC Networks’ premium streaming service for horror, thriller and the supernatural, announced the first round of casting for its upcoming horror anthology series, “Creepshow“, based on the iconic 1982 film written by Stephen King and directed by George A. Romero. They’ve also given us a first look at the series “Creep”. The first to join the series is Scream Queen Adrienne Barbeau (The Fog), Giancarlo Esposito (Better Call Saul), and Tobin Bell (Saw) who will star in the Stephen King story “Gray Matter,” adapted by Byron Willinger and Philip de Blasi (The Commuter) and directed by series showrunner Greg Nicotero (The Walking Dead). Greg Nicotero Shares First Image From “Creepshow”

Shudder has wrapped filming on the premiere episode of their new original series “Creepshow”, inspired by the movie of the same name. SFX legend Greg Nicotero shared the news via Instagram along with the first official image. The ghastly figure lurking just outside a window is a nod to the original film’s cover. https://www.instagram.com/p/Bt6KTr1hh0E/ Here’s the image from the original movie: Nicotero will be directing several episodes of the series as well as executive producing. Other episodes will be directed by David Bruckner (The Ritual), Roxanne Benjamin(XX), and Rob Schrab (“Ghosted”). John Harrison, who served as the assistant director for George Romero’s original Creepshow movie will also be directing, Bloody-Disgusting reports. Nicotero’s Oscar and Emmy award-winning company, KNB EFX GROUP Inc., will be doing the creature and make-up effects for the series. “Creepshow” will premiere on Shudder later this year and will feature episodes written by some of the biggest names in horror: “By the Silvery Waters of Lake Champlain”

Nearly three decades after the theatrical release of George Romero’s horror anthology Creepshow is getting a series adaptation from “Walking Dead” director Greg Nicotero. Nicotero will direct and executive produce several of the episodes of the Shudder series as well as oversee it. Romero’s original, released in 1982, featured segments by master of horror Stephen King and starred names like Ted Danson and Adrienne Barbeau. The film was so well loved that it spawned two sequels and a comic. Nicotero has a deep connection to Creepshow. He worked alongside Romero on Creepshow 2 and Day of the Dead. A Frozen ‘Walking Dead’ Spinoff ?

Even with “The Walking Dead’s” poppularity slipping there is talk of another spinoff. Scott Gimple, who served as showrunner for the past four seasons, who has a new title, Chief Content Officer, recently teased that more options are being discussed. Those options include more webisodes and another spinoff. Executive producer Greg Nicotero already has an idea about the spinoff he would like to see. The one thing that the comic book does great [is] when they introduce the cold weather and the winter. I had even written some webisodes that took place with a frozen zombie herd. And I think that our hopes are — my hopes — would be that we would get into an entirely different location, like a cold weather scenario. Because frozen zombies are f–ing awesome. Image Of ‘The Walking Dead’s “Nude” Walker Emerges

It was announced not long ago that the upcoming season of AMC’s now snooze-fest The Walking Dead will be having a nude zombie. The Show’s make-up artist/director Greg Nicotero posted an image on his Instagram yesterday of what looks to be the well awaited fully nude walker that he and others have been making hype about… Yep…that’s it, that’s the fully “nude” zombie we were promised. Though the work is an amazing testament to how far special effects makeup has come along but in the context the hype was based on, I think we saw more from the walker from the first season, known as bicycle girl, though was decayed you clearly could tell it had breasts, I think that’s the naughtiest zombie we’ve seen on the series. Is “stripping the zombie” the new “jump the shark”? Who knows. But from what was written by Forbs we may be wondering all this as we go to season 9.

Robert Kirkman Implies Carl Might Not Die After All

Fans were crushed in ‘The Walking Dead’s’ midseason finale when it was revealed that Carl (Chandler Riggs) had been bitten in the previous episode. Now, we all know that the hit show is famous for killing off characters, but they’re famous for another thing, teasing fans with contradictions. New Cast Memebers Join ‘The Walking Dead’ And ‘Fear The Walking Dead’ Crossover

Fans of the mega-hit series ‘The Walking Dead’ and its sister series ‘Fear the Walking Dead’ were thrilled back in October when we reported that the two series will collide in a crossover episode. Today, we have some casting news. ‘Damages’ actress Jenna Elfman has confirmed via Instagram that she will be appearing in the crossover, titled “Worlds Collide.” Deadline is reporting that Garret Dillahunt (Justified, Raising Hope) has also signed on to join the zombie apocalypse as a series regular on ‘Fear the Walking Dead’, though his character is yet to be revealed. He made the following statement on his Instagram account: Some really fun stuff planned! I been practicin’ and practicin’. Walkers don’t stand a chance. So pleased to be joining this extraordinary group of people.” Andrew Chambliss and Ian Goldberg are co-showrunners for ‘Fear the Walking Dead’. ‘The Walking Dead’s’ Scott M.
