30 ‘The Silence Of The Lambs’ Facts To Celebrate It’s 30th Anniversary!

The crime horror/thriller film that gave us the loveable cannibalistic serial killer Dr. Hannibal Lecter turned 30 this year on Valentine’s Day (when it was released in 1991). Since we’re getting closer to Halloween, why not share some interesting facts from both the film and the book that it came from, here are 30 facts about The Silence of The Lambs for you to chew on with a nice Chianti. Hannibal never once said “Hello Clarice” in the film, the misquoted line actually goes “Good evening, Clarice.” Ted Levine drank a lot of coffee before his audition to play Buffalo Bill resulting in a performance that impressed everyone. Crispin Glover Starring In New Series “Red Bird Lane” From “Hannibal” Director

Crispin Glover (“American Gods”), who recently appeared as the hooded figure in Smiley Face Killers has signed on to star as a series regular in HBO Max’s psychological thriller series “Red Bird Lane.” The series, directed by “Hannibal’s” David Slade, and “follows eight strangers who arrive at an isolated house, all for different reasons. Upon their mysterious and coincidental arrival, the strangers realize that something sinister and terrifying awaits them. Glover will play Jonah, a bad man who arrives at the mysterious house in the center of the thriller for money.” Deadline is reporting that the cast also includes James Urbaniak, Jamie Clayton, Rya Kihlstedt, Susan Sarandon, Kiersey Clemons, and Grantham Coleman as recurring characters with Damon Dayoub making a cameo. Sara Gran (“Southland”) wrote the script.

‘Silence Of The Lambs’ Spin-Off Casts Its “Clarice”

When it comes to award-winning psychological horror you don’t get much better than The Silence of the Lambs, but what happened to Agent Starling following her encounters with Dr. Hannibal Lecter and Buffalo Bill? We’ll soon find out. CBS has now given the series order for the spin-off of The Silence of the Lambs titled “Clarice“. Agent Clarice Starling will be played by “Pretty Little Liars” actress Rebecca Breeds, a role originally played by Jody Foster. Kal Penn (Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle, “Designated Survivor”), Michael Cudlitz (“The Walking Dead”), Nick Sandow (“Orange Is the New Black), Lucca De Oliveria (“Seal Team”), and Devyn A. Tyler (“The Purge”) also star. Set in 1993, six months after the events of The Silence of the Lambs, the series dives deep into the untold personal story of Clarice Starling as she returns to the field to pursue serial killers and sexual predators in Washington, D.C. after her encounter with serial killer

#SaveHannibal Is Trending After Fans Upset By News Of “Clarice” Series

Following the news reports earlier today about CBS greenlighting the Silence of the Lamb spin-off series “Clarice“, fans have taken to social media with #SaveHannibal in an attempt to breathe new life into the “Hannibal” series that was canceled back in 2015 after three seasons. Fans refuse to give hope that Bryan Fuller’s series adaptation of “Silence of Lambs” will return with stars Mads Mikkelsen and Hugh Dancy. Who could blame them? The series was a fantastic, dark, fascinating journey into the mind of a cannibal psychiatrist (Mikkelsen) and his relationship with a young profiler named Will Graham (Dancy). Fuller took to Twitter this afternoon to give his thoughts on the “Clarice“/”Hannibal” situation. FannibalFest Announces Special Guest Annabel De Vetten AKA “Annabel Lecter”

Annabel de Vetten, also known as “Annabel Lecter”, is cooking something up disturbing for FannibalFest this October. The trained chef, artist, and taxidermist created a ‘Hannibal & Bedelia’ wedding cake for the official media release event of the series’ third season, has made a name for herself by baking a long list of disturbing desserts, all of which look revoltingly realistic. As a big fan of the Thomas Harris novels and cinematic adaptations of the Hannibal character, she is quite enamored of the TV show. “I love how Hannibal is even more sophisticated, intelligent, and articulate than in the films,” she enthuses. “This makes him more unsettling than ever before.” During her panel at FannibalFest she will dig into the connections between food and death. Welcome back, my Little Monsters. It’s Wednesday again, and of course you all know what that means. It’s time to shine a spotlight on another one of our wonderful Women of Horror. Who’s today’s talented lady? You’ve already read it in the title, but just for the hell of it, I’ll type it again. Today’s talented lady is Katharine Isabelle (flutters eyelashes and swoons). Ms. Isabelle, born Katharine Isobel Murray, hails from Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. In 1989, an 8-year-old Katie Murray kicked off her acting career, appearing in five movies (one made-for-TV) and an episode of MacGyver. In 1991, she began going by the name Katharine Isabelle, thus edging much closer towards her current moniker. More Hannibal? Who wants it? I know that I do. Yes, season 3 ended in a fairly satisfying way, but movieplot.com just released an interview with Hugh Dancy who plays Will Graham in the ground breaking series and basically, don’t get your hopes up for new episodes any time soon. “My feeling is that, knock on wood, if it came around again, it wouldn’t be a bad thing for it to be four or five years later. That might actually be kind of interesting. How weird would that be, on a personal level, to find yourself back with those people? ‘So… where did we leave off?’” So, if Dancy gets his way, we can look forward to new episodes in about 2020…not the news I was hoping for. Mads Mikkelsen tackled the role of cannibal Dr. Hannibal Lecter in the television series ‘Hannibal’. Now, it seems the incredibly talented actor has formed a taste for horror, he wants to sink his teeth into a new subgenre, zombies. Hannibal fans were crushed when the series was canceled by NBC. But like true fans they haven’t given hope that the series might return. And they’re not alone. The cast all want to return for a forth season. Mads Mikkelsen, who played played the cannibalistic Dr. Hannibal Lecter, remains confident that the series will return with in the next few years, with the help of the series’ creator Bryan Fuller. In an interview Mikkelsen was asked about the possibility of the show being picked up by another network. He stated that it’s all up to Fuller, who is currently working on the series adaption of Neil Gaiman’s American Gods. It depends on Bryan.
